The Qualcomm chip has a significantly faster GPU if gaming matters but the Samsung chip has better CPU performance and battery life.

Just a few minutes ago I picked up my phone which had been on my bed charging and there are purple and green lines all over the screen... Had been fine not even 20 minutes ago. Anyone have any idea what might have caused this? The phone has had no drops at all and definitely no water damage..

Soooo my screen is now completely green and I can't see anything, still the same after holding power + volume down. Anyone know how quickly t-dimension would get back to me about a repair or replacement, or would I be better off going to a samsung repair centre here?

Ring the Samsung Centre in Dundrum. You can either drop it into them and they'll send it for repair, you'll get it back in 3 days. Or you can drop it into the actual repair shop in Sandyford and have it within 3 hours.

Same thing happened to me. I had to return it to the amazon retailer in Italy and they paid for postage back and offered me a refund or a replacement.

Samsung told me to go to the retailer

T-Dimension seem to be out of stock for black s7 edge dual sim. Anywhere else prices similar to them?

I've been in contact with them, hopefully they'll let me do that as I'm right by Sandyford!

Yeah I hope I don't have to go back through the retailer since it'll take at least a week for them to send another.

I'm looking at buying one of these on Adverts, is there any point in buying a phone without a receipt? Lots on there without one, does it affect the warranty/repairs?

The shop will ask you for one and Samsung may do if you send it for repair. Also lots of sellers are selling upgrades so have no receipts. If they ever stop paying the bill, you could find yourself with a blocked phone. My advice is to always insist on a receipt.

I emailed them and they sent me to SBE Ireland, but there apparently was a small speck of water damage on the motherboard, I opened it up myself and looked and it was along the edge away from any components but they said since that was there they wouldn't repair it (didn't even ask if I'd like to pay).

How are these running a few months in? Battery life sounds like its reduced a lot with updates?

Was that in Dundrum? Dropped mine today, screen isn't smashed but all I'm getting is green flickering. :(

Picked it up today. It's like new, they did a great job; even replaced the back glass back that was chipped. Would have cost me more to get it repaired in a dodgy shop that would have voided the warranty.

I charge mine in evening and usually have over 40% battery by 6PM following day and am a reasonably heavy user on line.

Dropped mine this week, the screen wasn't smashed but it had a flicker.

Anyway, it got warm being used as a GPS and I picked it up and literally felt as over about 5 seconds it slowly and completely cracked from edge to edge. Like breaking ice. One of the most demoralising feelings I have ever felt.

Anyway, I assume there is no chance Warranty will cover that. So I am replacing it on Vodafone insurance, and it seems like an amazing service. They're going to drive to me, and switch the handset for a new one so there is no lag time between the switch. Delightful.

Just to update my situation, I am reasonably happy with the battery life now. Ironically, after the last update it settled down.
For the amount of apps and brightness of the screen coupled with the speed of the phone, the battery is simply not good enough for a top end phone. I have accepted this and just get on with charging more frequently.
Other than this gripe, I am quite happy with the phone now.

Are you using google now and google on tap? I disabled both of these and battery life has dramatically improved

The thing is though, you shouldn't need to disable anything when we've paid this much for the top end phone on the market

I am using Package Disabler Pro and have disabled any apps, junk or bloatware that I dont use so no drain on battery and a much clleaner phone. Also use Nova Launcher for customizing my phone, really clean home screen the way I like it.

Bought the S7 Edge yesterday and I'm sure it's been already asked/answered but the thread is way to big to read back...what covers are recommended? I normally don't like the wallet/fold over ones and....can you get a decent screensaver?
