Found a heifer in the drain earlier, such a hape of work she put on herself. She went in here, possibly cause she's a lazy whore and wouldn't walk to the drinker.
    ssfeJbol.jpg
Plunged down this way, went through our boundary and continued through to the bog.
    FlCuQaCl.jpg?2xSfsIJSl.jpg?1

Then miracle of miracles, she turned around here and headed back towards dry ground again. But instead of aiming towards our land she branched off at a sort of T-Junction and went into the neighbours where we had to take down the hedge to find her!

    zpqzQ34l.jpg

But she's eating again now after lying for a few hours, she lay flat out for ten or fifteen mins after we pulled her out. :)

Ash. I pulled down a big branch and fell on my arse when it gave. I'm sure she would have laughed if cows could laugh!

Yea I was going to bring her home but that'd be more stress on her so I left her be. Stiff in herself but at least the water was warmish.

I almost became expert at pulling cattle outta bog drains. I remember one night pulling out a big cow in the dark again we got her out, she turns around and ploughs straight back into the drain!
Where did you put the rope on her?

Two on her head and one under her belly, that was a fun one to do. Like one of those mud spas that people pay crazy money for. :D

No tanko she's an ERE one.

We never used one under them, it's too difficult to get a rope in there.
It looks a gruesome job pulling them out by the head but it works.
Don't be tempted to try it with a horse though.

Never use the head only after watching (and hearing) a neck snap while that was done before. Once the animal is tired out or quiet it's not too bad, you need long arms though! I just lay flat on her back and could just about reach round her.

Absolute sight of hay bales down in Cork. I see one John Deere with a Keltec bale trailer drawing and they look like a great bit of kit. Why is everyone not using them?

Our contractor has a wilson supermove 10 bale one. Have seen him move 60 bales an hour on a short draw. Great job altogether.
As to why everyone is not using them? I think a 10 bale model is about €18,000 iirc.

Have a heifer coming bulling and the bull travelled through fields and a cross trenches to get to her only to be kept out by the electric fence. I went to move him but he was getting annoyed he wasn't getting his leg over. I just left him and take a chance. Can always inject her. Should have gotten rid last autumn and not be worrying about him bulling his daughters. But brother wouldn't let me. He has relinquished control since but too late for this year.

I'll bring him to an outfield about a half mile away tomorrow with the few cows that I haven't scanned yet.

Be wary round him tomorrow. If she's only coming bulling today it'll be a hard job splitting him from her when she's fully in heat.

Yeah I will thanks, I'll have a couple of the brothers to give a hand.

Oh my god, I just clicked into the Pokemon Go thread from curiosity.

It's like these people are from another world speaking another language just with some English words thrown in :(

TBH it's comes across very sad, talking about mating the things and how weak the offspring are. This doesn't seem like a good thing, kinda like a regression in human evolution.

Successfully saved cows and heifers outta off the run off tank with a slim jim or halter using the Matbro/front loader.
