It's irritating me because this could be a cracker. It won't be though. It'll just be boring as f*ck.

Oh well. On the bright side I'm fairly certain I've got a free pass for the whole weekend. Cards will have to be played extremly safe in the next hour or so but I'm confident. :D

More than decent. Individual performance of the year in any team imo. Was unreal.

Dont think he's ever done it against a top team in Croker though (that i can remember of the top of me head) so not awfully worried about him.

McHugh the man to keep quiet in my book.

Me (and the 45,765 feckin' pigeons) saw it in person. He was spectacular.

He was phenomenal alright but what was even more spectacular was the fact that he got 7 points off Cadogan before the switch was made.

"Well, yeah, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man"

He was superb but you have to qualify it with who was marking him as JRant has mentioned. Refined criticism though. Cadogan was just taken to the cleaners today. Be a different story next week against Cooper/McMahon. Albeit he's more than fit for it.

I put Peter Harte's display in the ulster final ahead of it purely down to the quality of opposition.

Huge contributions off the bench in quarter, semi and final 2014.

Which McHugh? :p I could tell you who I think the people to target are but that is tantamount to treachery.

Whats stopping it being a cracker?

Next week is really going to test the whole Donega panels fitness levels. They looked sloppy for large spells today and if that happens against us then they'll be punished severely.

Cork management (neither this one, nor the previous ones) are never going to win the All Ireland medal for tactical acuity on the sideline.

Or for anything. Brutal. 2010 grates. Poor us. Poor Down.

Ha ha. Yeah he's not Jim McGuinness but its a shame some of the players think he has to be in order for them to work hard. Token efforts are undermining you far more than tactics are imo.

Twas borderline criminal if you ask me and then they switched him on to Murphy!

Have to disagree with this. The players can't be faulted in terms of their commitment. Publicly backing Gallagher and privately they work their arses off.

Lethargic today mind you, bit of a hangover from Clones no doubt but no conscious decision not to try for the manager.

I just don't think we will ask enough of the questions needed. I'm expecting a repeat of the league game (Easter). Pointless.

You dont beat any Donegal team easy, and as much as i hate their system and tactics, it is going to be a very tough game.

If we can get a good start, grab an early goal and some long range points - they will have to come out of their shell, and this is when we can really get at them and pick them off. Big if!

6pm kick off, happy days, I can have 7 hours worth of pints heading in :D:D

Slatts is a bit of a lightweight. If he wasn't barred from all the decent early houses, it would be 11 hours.

Oh sorry...it's the phrase "kick off" thats thrown you. Never mind....

I'm tired and emotional, thats my excuse.

You teed it up for me, in fairness !

Ya know what I love about going to non Dubs games at Croker? The people you meet. I stood @ Fairview Park & waited for the bus home with the Man of The Match from last years AI final. (Heckuva' nice lad btw.) One of us was consuming a fruit smoothie from Chopped. One of us was consuming a glorious piece of fried decadence from Hillbillies.

I'll let ye decide for yourselves who had what. ;)

Lol Slattsy. Quick someone quote that into the main championship thread so everyone can laugh at him.

Not consciously trying to undermine the manager no but definitely not matching the intensity that was their hallmark under McGuinness. Thats a personal thing, nothing the manager can do to help.

They play like defending AI champions generally play. Sure they do the hard training, say the right things, approach the game the right way but when it comes down to it the application just isn't what it should be.

Shame. I think if they had an honest conversation they'd be a match for Dublin. As it is i think they share your views in not fancying the manager and no team produces when thats forefront in your mind.
