Yes an official was telling me about them on Saturday, coming up for sale again.
    A ten year ticket

Ah very good - yeah there seems to be a number of those 10 year tickets on the go. I heard of another one from a lad in work who is a senior steward that's for renewal this year that entitles the holder to all semi/Ai finals (code specific) for the princely sum of 3k

Was telling Stoner I was speaking with one of the players last week - he was giving nothing away regards Maccers injury - but I did mention to him that us Dub Boardsies wanted him to pass on our alternative to Jim Gavin - we've decided on Jonny C at wing back and Mick Fitz FB - he said he would  If I was to have a completely uneducated guess - I'd say Maccer won't play Saturday

That's a pity he did well on Murphy the last day.

It's just a gut instinct Stoner - nothing but conjecture. Yer right he did a sound job on Murphy last time out

Big loss if he's not available.

Imagine losing ROC / JMcC / J Mc from your back 6 :(

Don't think you can judge much from those two games tbh.

I'd love if he was marking Murphy because 1) I think Murphy would come out on top and 2) it'd free up space elsewhere.

As it is, Dublin should win this game without him and the sensible option would be not to play him.

I dont think Murphy would come out on top of too many the way he's playing this year.

Feel free to leave him inside with James Mc. :)

A moot point anyway cause he'll be putting out fires around the middle :(

Has anyone sat in cusack 316 one the lower rows?

Hows the view compared to 308 lower level?

He's well able for good footballers, our best defender in the halfback line. He's been in enough battles and won far more than he lost.

Murphy is a fine player one of the best, but it is possible to keep him quiet, it's been done more than once. Unfortunately the two men we have that I think are capable on their day of that are either away or possibly injured. I don't think Murphy should be held up in midfield if as hinted big Neil is back. You've enough footballers in there to have him in the danger zone . You'll need imo he's very powerful and a handful for anyone when he's on form alright.

Last time we played McCarthy picked him up there was no space freed up as McCarthy was being used in midfield type position and not in the halfback line. Flynn and Kilkenny will be tucking in more in this game too imo.

316 is The Davin rather than Cusack tbh - the dog seats are the ones on the sweep bewteen both 312-314 AFAIK ... you'll be looking up the pitch rather than across it .. defo don't want to be down low ..

Or bring the tae in a flask with ya to blend in ..

If the seats are far enough back say row S it's actually a fairly decent view

No. None last week either, free drink though.

I never go to the box for Dublin games, I like to spend some time with the regular folk, although with Dublin's recent success it's becoming too frequent an occurrence.

Forecast is for good dry sunny weather, I'm on the Nally and will be in early to catch both games so was relived the forecast was for a baseball cap to keep the sun off rather than a poncho.

No sign of the CCCCCCCCCC having words about our friend in the long grass? I haven't been able to talk about it after referring to him in rather unparliamentary language on Sunday evening.

I thought so too. But them's the breaks I suppose.

According to Barry Cahill it's not looking good for McCarthy. I didn't know it was a knee injury

James McCarthy's replacement in the Dublin defence and a trick up Rory Gallagher's sleeve

He says he wouldn't bring Kilkenny back.
I would. I don't like Cooper or McMahon in the halfback line
I also don't remember McCarthy being used in the fullback line in the league I know he's played there for BK

Being down three all-stars in defence is a massive blow. I'm very concerned about it tbh.
We tried the other D Byrne at HB a good bit this year and he didn't really impress this year.

If we succeed I think Andrews will need a big game, anyone talking about this being nailed is missing how influential these players are. McCarthy was in footballer of the year form as we highlighted here many times

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,593 ✭✭✭DoctaDee

Yeah Stoner - my understanding is that he jumped and came down awkwardly on it, buckled under him.

The biggert loss will be his ball carrying. The BK Byrne won't get anywhere near a starting place. I wouldn't get hung up on a like for like replacement, numbers on your back are no indication of the role they're tasked to play - I could see Bastic playing FB if Murphy moves in or Flynn given the role further out

Tickets up for sale again on tickets.ie now. Website seems to be a lot more efficient than it was previously giving you an update where you are in queue and how long it will take
