Sounds like you could do with a big protective bumper case to be honest.

    Not disputing that,

But giving first hand experience of the screen 'protector' versus the actual phone.

So other people have some insight on it.

I mean its a bloody expensive protector and i am in no way convinced its any better than the far cheaper alternatives including OP own brand ones.

Phones fine but I'm adamant it would have been fine without.

Gorilla glass isn't brittle. This stuff is ridiculously brittle you can actually feel how brittle it is when installing it. It just feels ultra breakable.

Kinda surprising since I read good reviews/recommendations about it.

I bought one similar to the Orzly on AliExpress for E4.40.... I hope it isn't as bad :(

Bought one of the Orzly ones from Amazon for 9.99 - and I have 2 more on the way from aliexpress that were around €3 each - so if they break I won't be too pushed. You just never know what kind of awkward drop will smash a phone screen so it's worth it either way.

They give free stuff away for the reviews, there is a letter in the delivery that asks folks to take pictures and give a good review in a few days in return for Free items.

Easy to generate good reviews straight off the bat

I think you are confusing something here, The falls that the phones took would easily have been handled by the Phones own Gorilla Screen, Which means the Orzily screen is an expensive brittle piece of crap.

I fully believe its designed to break extremely easily. And folks like yourself will think awesome it saved my screen. When in fact is 20 odd Euro down the drain.

My phone would 100% of been fine for the fall it took, why ? because i dropped the phone 3 times before i even put the Orzly on it and it was fine, twice on concrete.

Well folks like myself might wonder why you'd pay 20 in the first place for brittle crap as you put it, seems you don't even need one anyway, 😄

Well folks like yourself should have the smarts to understand how was i meant to know it was a brittle piece of crap before i bought it.... since all the reviews are paid for by giving free stuff away.

Im impressed by the intelligence you possess that allows you to know how a product performs before you have even touched it.

Amazing, perhaps you can explain it to me, in some detail.

I mean since ive purchased it and now have hands on with it, i think even you might agree im entitled to have an opinion based on personal experience.

    no ?

    il await a swinging response.

Im not upset. Just kinda weird to bump into their marketing manager here when i just gave some an opinion of the quality of the screen protector on the last page.

    And here you are.

lol. Its more funny when someone with no affiliations to a company bar purchasing the product becomes a raving fan.

I bought the orzly case and protective glass. Tight fit together and already a piece off edge of the glass and crack developing and never dropped it. Very disappointed with with it and would not recommend

I'll try this one but I won't be holding my breath!

Just to clarify, by reviews I meant people posting on forums, not from "review" videos on YT or reviews on Amazon etc.

The only problem I've had with the Orzly protector was that my Karbon case was pushing against the side of it letting loads of dust stick to it :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,086 ✭✭✭GustavoFring

It's par for the course with the type of protector they are. The clear ones without the adhesive layer will be more robust. The main selling point is that these ones don't gather dust but they won't stand up to a fall - had two similar on an S7 and they didn't last. I know full well that the one I have on the OP3 will be replaced pretty often.

Anyone recommend a good non glass protector, I clear film type?

My gfs new moto G4 shat itself earlier and she returned it to argos for a refund. Phone won't charge, the port appeared faulty. I managed to now convince her to buy the OnePlus 3 like me.
When I ordered mine I had it in about 4 or 5 days. What's the delivery time for these now? I know some people weren't as lucky and had to wait 2 weeks due to delivery issues. If she buys it today would she have it by Tuesday?

Tuesday could be pushing it. I ordered mine on the 20th. It was shipped the 25th from Poland and as of last night it left Hannover. Haven't a clue where it is now but I hope to have it Friday! Ever the optimist!

My last two OnePlus phones shipped from London so were very quick. The OP3 came from Poland so I think that would add on 2-3 days.

I ordered mine Friday morning at around 8am. Just onto DHL who said it's travelling via road not air, but I should still have it by Friday.

Mine is the exact same schedule as yours. Only I ordered on the 20th. They must send then out in batches.

Yeah everyone is saying they don't have stock in UK at the minute which is why there is a delay :(

Nice logs, I only ever checked the status of mine once the day after I ordered it. I was amazed when I got it after only a few days. Was expecting a 2 week wait.

Returning my OP3, battery life is crap, getting around 8-10 hours of light use.

Hopefully the replacement will be better.

What's the process for returning? Have you already opened a ticket with them?
