To the people who upgraded to the OP3 from the OnePlus One - have you found it a real step up?

I'm trying to justify the €400 upgrade, is the performance boost really that noticeable? The screen doesn't seem to be that big an improvement with the same resolution? Been running official CM13.1 on the OPO and battery is fine...

    Yes.

Just installed the leaked Nexus launcher from here:

    http://www.androidauthority.com/download-nexus-launcher-apk-707338/

As I'm rooted I did a backup and flashed the the zip file for all the functionality. Works quite well on the OP3.

Are Nexus Launcher and Google Now Laucher different things Gus? :)

Or is one just a fork of the other?

I *think* it's going to replace the now launcher once android N is out. It's like a slicker version of it.

so i took the plunge yesterday and ordered a one plus 3 :D told me yesterday i should have round the 15th of august. Got an email this morning saying my delivery has been dispatched and should get a tracking number within 24 hours. I'm just wondering does this mean theres a chance i could get the phone early.

I ordered mine on the 27th July. It was dispatched on the 28th with an estimated delivery date of the 7th August. I got a text from DHL saying it would be delivered on the 4th August. I received it today so you probably will get it earlier than the 15th.

    Mine left Poznan this morning.

Someone else posted this earlier. Anyone know where it goes after Brussels? Or have a completed tracking history?

Dublin was the next stop after Brussels for mine.

Bring the OPO into CEX for up to €173 in cash or a CEX voucher for €214. Bring in the boxes and accessories that came with it or else they'll deduct €20

    https://ie.webuy.com/search/index.php?stext=One+plus+one&section=

    Then buy the OP3

For anyone thinking of purchasing one and want it quick you might want to order it soon. Sales freeze from 9th August until 12th September.

Bleugh, just when it seemed like OnePlus were acting like a proper company at last.
Pretty pathetic, even if it turns out to be a stunt

I heard an interview with Carl pei a few days ago where he said they was record breaking sales numbers and that they would shortly be running into inventory issues

coming up to end of contract and not going to buy an operator's phone..

this phone all it seems to be cracked up to be?

Have an HTC One M8 which is a brilliant phone so that's the baseline.

It's a great phone for the money - but if there is nothing wrong with your M8 I probably wouldn't go upgrading to this - as I don't think it's massively ahead of it. I had an LG G3 that gave up on me, if it hadn't of given up I would still happily use it.

Things I've loved since getting it is the quick charge (which you probably already have on the HTC) and the fingerprint unlock. Other than that nothing is overly standout in my books, the phone is super fast and hasn't given me any trouble so that's good.

cheers... yeah the HTC is serving me fine. Might just get the cheapest sim only data plan I can find..

    Maybe even prepay..

I'm with Three and the €20 a month all you can eat is pretty good. You keep the €20 credit (for calls/texts to other networks) - get unlimited everything else then within 3 and unlimited 4G+ - all down to your needs really. I do everything online (viber/snapchat/whatsapp) so it suits me perfectly.

Yeah if you really need a new phone this is a cracking phone, but my honest opinion is - it's not going to be enough of an upgrade over an M8 and you'll be a small bit disappointed if you don't actually need a new one at the moment. (I honestly don't even think an S7 would be enough of an upgrade - until something comes out with an insane battery life - that's the one thing would make me jump on it)

There's also the advantage of being able to use your credit as a payment method for the like of the Google Store, Deezer etc.

So you can build up your credit, then use the credit to pay for apps, music, subscription services (if you're a UFC fan for example you can pay for your Fight Pass subscription using your credit) and so on.

if you're in Dublin, it's an absolute no brainer to have the €20 Three prepay plan IMO.
