My phone now in Dublin, almost here.
You cannot order this phone with a visa debit card, must be credit card or paypal, this I eventually found out after hours of live chat and support tickets.
Not sure what sterling is like at mo, but last week i saved 30E ordering via uk site using paypal and parcel motel.
No accessories I wanted in stock at this time, so on the look out for a decent tough cover (after dropping s4 for 20th time) and a tempered glass screen protector. Very mixed views of otterbox for oneplus 3 on the otterbox site
Anyone experience of the likes of below

Only ever had the plastic screen savers b4, so no idea which glass to buy

    Thanks in advance

Buy the Orzly 2.5D one with the black bezels on Amazon. Those ones are shi*e (they fit poorly on the OP3 because of its slight curve). One of them even has bad reviews.

I used a Debit card and the order went through fine. Got my phone a week ago.

Thank you. I currently use an iphone 4 and a moto e atm, one is for work. Thia will hopefully be a major improvement on both of them and with two sims i can start using just the one phone.

Im gonna get one of the backs from one plus, any particular 3rd party cases come highely reccomended too? Does the otterbox fit comfortably in the hand?

I would recommend the sandstone, i got the rosewood with my OP3 and not overly gone on it.

The sandstone looks the nicest and I got this one with mine so looking forward to seeing how it fits.

The Oneplus ones are ridiculously over priced. EBay for cases. Plenty of reasonably priced and good quality ones there.

Otter box's aren't comfortable in hand and are slippy in my experience.

Ordered the last Friday week, they finally got back to say they're issuing me a refund:

    A pleasant day to you!

Thank you for getting back to us, we appreciate it. We are now recalling the package. Once we get a confirmation from our warehouse that they have received your package back, you will received the refund automatically through your account.

Due to the change of international regulations applicable to air shipments of lithium batteries, DHL will not be able to send the parcel to you. So we will process the refund then you may re-order again.

Should you have any other concerns regarding OnePlus or if the refund still does not go through, please do not hesitate to contact us. Have a great day!

    Best regards,
    Coco

Coco...you're an a-hole. Think ill buy something else instead despite having my dbrand skins and otterbox on the way.

That sounds really strange, if DHL is the problem why hasnt everyone had that issue?

I ordered one today via their ie link. I'll let you know what happens. I wonder are they out of stock and not want to admit it?

A lot of the UK stuff in the store is out of stock.

P.S. They took the money immediately!

Me too. hopefully there won't be any issues.

They won't tell me when they'll refund it. They said it needs to be returned to their warehouse before they can refund but dhl said they never even received it.

I got text notification it was ready to collect from a DHL Swipbox collection point near me. However got to the pickup point and its looking for a code which was apparently texted to me but I never got. Rang their customer service which says its open till 10pm but to leave a message and they will call back. I am guessing I will not get it tonight.

Ordered today and it says it wont be shipped until the 15th... sounds optimistic going on what people have said on this thread. Gonna be a long wait.

This thing is unbeleivably good, its better than I could have imagined, ****in hell!

As a side note I ordered mine last Thursday and it came today, seems they shipped aload of units over to England to speed up delivery :)

How does the dual Sim work. Like can you have a Vodafone Sim as your main Sim but have all your data connection go through a three Sim so you take advantage of the unlimited Internet? Or do you consistently have to pick between the Sims and then Sim you have as active does everything?

I'm asking because Vodafones service is very good but Jesus their data allowances are useless

I have a Vodafone and Three sim in mine but in the reverse order.
Making and receiving calls and sending and receiving texts is simple, there's an option to choose the sim before you make the call or you can set a preference to sim one or two in the settings to always call on one or the other.
When receiving calls it displays what sim the incoming call is using which is nice.
When I look at the sim settings it seems mobile data is not allowed in tray two(it's just greyed out), my primary sim is Three and it's in tray one.

    Hi
I received an OTA update on Monday night. However now, I am not receiving any sound notifications for text messages emails etc. I rebooted the device yesterday and audio notifications started working again.
Charged the phone last night whilst in bed, and now have the same problem again. I have rebooted a number of times but no luck.
Has anyone come across this before?

Is your notification slider in the silent position?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 606 ✭✭✭one man clappin

no I have toggled the notification slider, have also gone into settings, alert slider, priority settings and set messages and calls to "from anyone"

Apologies another delivery related post but....

Does anyone who has tracked their delivery with DHL know how long it took to get from Gatwick to being delivered.. Mine left gatwick at 3:00am this morning and says estimated delivery by end of today but I'm not very optimistic on that considering it has to go to Dublin then Belfast

Anyone find a fix for Youtube videos stuck at 480p?

SIM 1 and 2 are just numbers, you can pick in the settings menu, what SIM does what function by default. Calls, SMS etc with default system apps.

Both SIMs are live at the same time, IE you can recieve a call or text on either, but data can only be assigned to 1 SIM at a time. This means for you that you would assign data to the 3 SIM, but that's all you realistically have to do to get up and running the way you want.

Anyone in Dublin using this with Vodafone ? What kind of 4g speeds are you getting?

I find the Dash cable a bit short - according to this post you can use a specific USB 3.0 extension cable land still retain dash charging. I happened to have a generic USB 3.0 extension lying around (no awg printed on it but looks fairly thick) and dash works grand with it.

Aren't charging cables supposed to be short to stop you using them while it charges?
