Really hope someone steps up for Cormier. Such horrible timing from USADA

    You mean from Jones, yes?

He meant steps up for Cormiers sake.

I was referring to the comment about timing, given that it appears to imply that this is somehow USADA's fault.

Oh right, understandable point all the same, USADA came in a popped some big names, g ot some big fights cancelled etc I'm absolutely delighted though.

Gus wants the fight, I'd love to see it again. Much better than no fight.

Any chance they could pull Dos Anjos vs Alavarez from tonight and stick it on Saturdays card instead If theres no fight for Dc.

They would lose to much on refunds for that event I'd imaine

As is their remit. The fault lies squarely with the fighter.

Agreed though, I think it's a very positive move that shows nobody is immune.

    Except Brock.

Test done on 16th of June. You would think they would have put a rush or something on it so the result was only released 2 days before the fight. A smaller promotion could go under losing their headliner 2 days out. ( I know USADA only test ufc fightes).

Interestingto see if it's for PEDS or coke.

Coke wouldn't be a USADA violation, on on the list for out of comp

For Jones' sake I hope it was a fake positive.

In 12 months of testing, and dozens of fighters popped. I can't think of any false positives.

The only one I can think on in the pre-USADA era was, ironically, Jones' cocaine positive.

Yup, its not for recreational drugs, which suggests it can only be PED.

Jones can appeal etc but given the short timing, there is no way he is appearing on Saturday night.

I would love to be a fly on the wall if Dana had a face to face with him after this emerged!

If I ever see a promo again saying Jones is great and his only loss was for mistaken elbows I will puke. This w@nkst@in is going around joking about having to use Uber when he could have killed someone. UFC should release this prick if guilty again. Force him on the HW division at least and strip him of the interim crap, see him pulling that ****ing belt on last night in the presser, what a prick.

What a joke. The fact it's Jon Jones, you'd be very inclined to think it was his own doing rather than a false positive or something like that.

If this was the ufc of old,lt would have been swept under table ala Belfort Jones but how times have changed!

To be fair, Jones when up for the stare down without the belt and it was pushed on him for the photo shoot. Looked to me like he had no interest in showing the interim belt.

Ok I didn't see it being pushed on him and never know he may have requested it. Anyway thats the least of my worries.

JJ is a seriously dangerous individual is he is popped for perf enhancing stuff that is scary, imagine if he inflicted serious injuries on DC.

Good job Brock is on the card it will make it break the 1m buys. Still looking forward to 20 odd great fights not letting this clown ruin it.

This day last year i was flying to vegas :(

Ah jaysis crappy news. Surprisingly enough it was the fight I was least excited about because I felt DC didn't have much of a chance based off the first fight and his age.

Be interesting to see what way they switch it up though.

Gus could be in Vegas for 10pm, Dana should get it sorted!

I honestly think that dude needs a win. Another loss, even if it is a title shot would be devastating for him. I think DC dumps any replacement on their head repeatedly. Lousey for him but no interest to see him fighting anyone else, I suspect he feels the same.

Complains of the possible damage Jones could do if he was on PED's.

Is happy Brock is there to fill headline slot.

    Not sure if serious....

    Gutted :(:mad::(

I was wondering why there were so many posts since last night in this thread and felt a little sicker with every one I read. FCUKING JONES :mad::mad::mad: I hope there has been some sort of mistake with this but based on his previous I seriously doubt that. DC must be loving this, he's probably been pulling the plums off himself over a picture of the USADA logo all night.

Card overall is still immense but the biggest card in UFC history and the main is not even for a title? hmmmmmm not so good

Its far better USADA announcing it before a fight rather than waiting only getting failed test results the day after a fighter headlines

What a complete idiot Jones is, he's been given chance after chance, should tie him to his contract and make him open up fight night cards now, but they won't, as soon as his suspension is up they'll big him up again

I very much doubt DC is loving this. All that training for nothing. The big paycheque gone. The chance for revenge and creating a legacy, gone.

I doubt it tbh. Between the training, injury, resumption of training for the biggest event he'll be part of I'd say he's anything but happy.

Quite the opposite. He was devastated at the press conference earlier. Spent weeks training for nothing and set to lose an absolute fortune.

Hope jones is sacked if the allegations are true.

The man is a scumbag and has ruined the biggest event in ufc history

Apparently Jones' supplement sponsor has some products that banned under USADA.
