Change the switch to one suitable for LED dimming.

    I didn't know there was a difference.

    Thanks for the info

How were you trying to dim them without a dimmer switch out of interest?

I used to kind of squint when I was near them

nah,I was using it it was on a lamp that had a built in Dimmer. The LED works fine when it's powered up fully, but if it's set to dim, the light flickered and made explosion imminent noises.

Now I know that the dimmer switch on the lamp only supported Incandescent lights and you need specialised switches for LEDs

This is the issue with using LED that are not dimmable... like the ones I posted earlier.
You need dimmable leds and a compatable dimming switch for it all to work .

This looks like a nice duel sim phone (its a shame that so many user reviews are spammed with the " I received this as a free item to write an unbiased review " and the likes crap )

€130 through Parcel Motel / Parcel Wizard.

I replaced all the bulbs in my house with Lidl LEDs last May

So far, one bulb has gone and the rest are all working fine

One issue was that I paid extra from some 'dimmable LEDs', but they don't dim, they still work, the dimmer just doesn't work.
You may need to change your dimmer, standard dimmers don't work with LED lamps

Just missed that X15 deal, is it still worth it for £113? Better than the Vodafone Ultra?

IMO no, it has a quad-core MTK processor whereas the VFSU6 has an octa-core Snapdragon 615 with an andreno GPU which is much better spec wise, also MTK processors are known to have issues with GPS and Bluetooth.

Also noticed in the description of the X15's data and connectivity section it has mobile internet: WAP/WiFi listed??
The last time I seen WAP used for mobile internet was in 2010 😂

    There's an X16 for £99
I've ordered one this week for my mam. Seems very similar as the X15 but it's .5" smaller (which she'd prefer) and the megapixels on the camera are 13 Vs 16 but I don't care about that.

    http://www.kimovil.com/en/compare/cubot-x15,cubot-x16,cubot-x17

Haven't received it yet but the reviews I checked before buying seemed fine to me.

Sorry for chatting. Mods delete if you like.

The price for the Amazon one delivered and converted to euro is below:

Argos have the Red & Blue controllers for €48.99. I checked 10 stores and all have at least one in stock.

Some may want to buy from a local stores as opposed to Amazon and also want alternative colour e.g red/blue

    :)

Use Revolut and avoid that extra charge with Amazon.

Never use Amazon's currency converter, you get charged a good bit more than paying in Sterling.

Does that not depend on the FX conversion rate your bank will charge you Vs the conversion rate Amazon charge?

Unless you're with the worst bank in the world, it will still work out less..

+1 Keep an eye on the exchange rate in the run up to the brexit vote. This may be a good week to buy :)

Something similar ever happen to anyone else? number was a Dublin one. (01-247****)

Can't say that I've ever heard of that before.

You should post a thread in the Online Buying & Auctions forum also as you'd get more responses on there:

    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=583

It's a bit of a strange one alright.

What exactly did they say about the order?

Amazon customer care is actually in Dublin. Never had a call from them but a uk friend dealt with them and was surprised it was Dublin based at the time.
