    Knew you'd appreciate that one Gen tee hee :D I'll pop up a snippet of that Dead Zone track when I get the deck. I have it on a tape mixed very badly (I won't incriminate anyone by revealing who did it :D ) Wait till you hear the "Hipnotones" in that. BTW what the FCUK is a Hipnoptone??? :D

All types of tones, just hipnotones, not the ones' that make you moan and groan, but the ones' that keep you dancin'.     jaysus lads , didnt want to start a technical war with yas :D all it is that i download some tunes that were recorded too slow for my liking and just want it faster to put on a cd as they are with no mixing involved :) nice bit of software gen , gonna have another look around the torrent sites for more similar software, will post that question on the other site , others might wanna know how to do that as well, dub, am gonna put soundforge on pc, what version are you lads using ?

    Hehehe, it's not a tec war D, just passing on some tips. - To 'Speed-Up' the tunes, get yourself a copy of Sony Soundforge V8 (available on most torrents I believe) - Load up the track you want to work on, then save it as a *wav file, then reload the the new *wav. (Never work directly on an MP3) You can get latest Soundforge V9 also, it's geared more towards AC3 (DVD) encoding and mixing if your into it, but V8 is pretty extensive anyhow.

    Go to - Effects / Pitch / Shift / then select 'Preset/Default all' from the drop-down menu. Use the sliders to get your desired speed, Set Accuracy to 3 and DO NOT check 'Preserve Duration'. Save the *wav, then re-encode to 256Kbps MP3. (If it's just for a CD, there's no need to save to MP3, just burn the *wav directly to disk.)

    Lo all, i came across this mix and heard a track by DOC SCOTT!. I think its called - The NHS EP or something? brings back some great flashbacks:)

    The Track is by Doc Scott alright but its called 'Surgery' not 'NHS'

    Hey hardcore rave people!

    Really enjoyed reading this thread, there are other people out there who live for the oldskool! Always trying to find a classic or two. Recently picked up in auckland of all places, for $5, the messiah cd 21st century jesus & eon fear the mind killer, ooooold stuff!!
    But anyway straight to the point, does anyone out there remember the dj dirk montage show every saturday 3-6 round 91/92 abouts, on 88fm - energy fm dublin radio station.
    One mix i've looking for years, cause i stupidly taped over it, is the Mickey Finn sets he used to play - some studio set, not live. He called them Micky Finn vol 1 & 2, with tracks mixed in the set such as dms vengence & ruffneck & we are hardcore.
    Another wicked set i'm looking for is from dj crystal same era, with the start of the set with acen's life & times of a ruffneck, wicked stuff!!
    Anyways if anyone has them, if there's any chance of uploading them, it would be much appreciated!
