If you unplug your router for 10/20 seconds then you can rapidshare download again straight off.

I uploaded it to rapidshare so as the links wont expire as someone seems to request it every few weeks. I dont know if that unplugging your router trick works. Give it a shot. If not buy a RS account you cheapskate :D

good stuff Turks, good to see ya back on line, and where the fu*k do ya get these tapes

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 275 ✭✭Gen:FX

TURKS : Wow Wow weeeey... a definate whopper,... I thought this one was well gone and forgot,.... Nice1 for the reminder.

YO! - Jonny... I dug out some of that 'Pirate Radio' Old-Cool stuff you asked for a few pages back. Do these tunes ring a bell .... Addiction - Jump, China White - Move Your Body, Multicore - True Techno Gangster, Optical Haze - Wonderful experience + many many more. -

    ABOUT THE ROUTER THING:
If your ISP has a 'STATIC' IP address you will NOT be able to fool the router / modem... (Powering down & Up the modem / router will not have any effect on it) - Hence each time you log onto a server / site it WILL remember you. So in the case of ...eh.. Rapidshare, it's a 'Come back later' message.

If your ISP has a 'DYNAMIC' IP address, then it's very easy to fool the server that your loggin' into. A quick clean of your 'recent' internet session will do the trick along with a clean 're-boot'. - Hence each time you log onto a server / site the place reckons your a new 1st time viewer, and will give you complete run of the shop... (as an un-registered user of course) & DONT FORGET TO RE-START YOUR ROUTER... Power Off / Power On. - Doing this will give you acess to the ...eh... Rapidshare server, when you want.

    CHEAP-SKATE ?
NO.... you, me, or anyone else can't be called a 'cheap skate' for doing this. It's your computer and your connection, your paying for what you see and read / download. .. If there is (which I reckon there is from the last post back) folk paying for a service that they already have access too for free, but dont use that much, ... I dUnNo WhAt 2 SaY To ThEm FoLk, except Do your thing and do it well (at your own cost) ....

    RTFM

STATIC is a no / DYNAMIC is a yes.

(PS) - Some goodies on the way mid-week.... Re-Issued stuff... ;) watch the sig's below.

    NITE PPL.

for anyone interested in music production , this comp is bein run by tcf, all details are in post there that was on another site, simple reg. as usual.
    gen:fx , has your name on it m8 :D

This is probably the biggest competition we have ran so far on TCF.

The Prize is pretty special and will continue to grow as more and more DJ's become interested.

    The competition is kinda simple,

    1. Producers must not use copyrighted material, by entering you agree that the production is entirely your own work.
    2. 1 entry per person only.
    3. Your track must be under 9 minutes.
    4. Your track must be 16bit, 320kbps.
    5. You must be an active TCF member.
    6. Your production should be designed for a warmup House OR Trance set only. (We apologise to everyone affected by this)
    7. Please Label Your Track Properly, there is nothign worse than recieivng something with no name.

    The Prize

The prize is pretty amazing, the winning production will be played in full by the following DJs.

Judge Jules, Richard Durand, Leon Bolier, Cor Fijneman, Mark Sherry, Mallorca Lee, John Askew

Any questions please do not hesitate to ask.

Good Luck to All, Competition Closes 15th September 2007.

All entries to be sent to

Here's an Original from Jay Carey. It's Called ANXIETY. (from way back in 94 I think, - Jay will confirm that anaway) - These recordings were taken from his original master cassette copy. As far as I know this is the first release, not sure if he let this one out before... again, he'll confirm it.

Get your thinking caps on posse, we need to do a full tracklist for it.

cheers for uploading that mix caf and of course jay carey for mixing it back in the day :D will leave the tune ids for the djs on the board:confused:
whats the story with that sample used in the tune on 9 mins, always loved that sample ,similar to that of underworlds dark and long , its been used in a few tunes over the years, if anyones knows of a tune its used in can yas post up the name of the tunes please , wanna get a clean sample of it, cheers :)

big up to senan and the lads for another great night on friday in liquid in bray :D was another great line up again, unfortunately i missed slims and most of senans but alot of people told me they were excellent , mick morrison played a stormer of a set as did denis horgan who revved it up nicely for thyme with a banging set , was expecting an old man in dj thyme lol :D must be 14 yrs sine i seen him in the asylum but he is in mid thirties which was a surprise as he would of been only 20 or so when djing in the asylum!
the crowd loved him , had the whole place dancing to a range of tunes which was a reminder after reminder of the good oul days, wish i knew the names of tunes to emphasise that point as they were rocking the place :)
been a while since in liquid, and there is a much better feel to the place now, big video screen, lasers , smoke machine , and darker which i like in a club :)
so roll on the next one from the reactive crew
ps.. hope to have few photos up soon

Yeah sure thing. That's Global "A better love" on Gorgeous Records (1993). It was actually the B-Side of that EP, and had a track by Para Dice called "Can you hear me", which sampled the riff from Kariya's "Baby let me love you" and was an Olympic favourite. I'm sure you'd know the "Para Dice" track really well, it was one of my favourite piano house tracks of that era, the vocal was great, really uplifting. I'm looking at the vinyl copy here in front of me, I'm sure you'd pick it up on a second hand site somewhere. I couldn't see it on Gemm or Ebay mind you, it seems to be quite rare. Here it is on Discogs anyway, its not cheap as you can see, but the copies are in mint condition:

I was at that prodigy gig in the point too, think that was the one where they had the stage in the middle of the point depot rather than at the end. Was great fun.

I'm logged on form work at the mo as my Internet connection at home is down till tomorrow, so talk then.
