S I seen that gig alright this sunday, should be good Warren started me mixing originally and I still thik he is Dublins Finest mixer and for choice of tunes he cant be beat , I drove him demented at the time borrowing tunes and bombarding him with questions ets.. I still think whenever he sees me coming he goes "oh **** here he comes!!!!" haha i have apologised many times for the all the hastle!!! hahah.. and francois again one of the unsung heroes of the time!!! wicked techno.trancer !! so will be a cracker id say.I am supposed to be goin to cavan for a seesion sunday but I will see if its still on.if not I will be into Zanzibar ! madoufit hahha.. is Brian & VB away on hols this week ??? P

Mentioned it to Sue but she was talkin to Vic and apparently there isn't a good word to be said about Zanzibar, full of Polish ignoramouses and what not, I believe that but I wouldn't say so on this particular night. Doesn't seem to be a flyer so if theyre not going Brian wont be either. I'm not 100% meself at the mo but deffo wanna hook up with ya in 'The Right Settings'.
Fair play to ya for givin auld Cliffy a mention in a previous post. Maybe in the future I could contact him and we all could hook up in 'The Right Settings';)

had loads of waistcoats :D , think i had one of those diamond jumpers alright, think towards the end of the asylum the big thing was the black leather jackets, used to be loads outside with them on :) hairy legs and unique made a fortune :D

Remember the leather bomber jackets. Used to have a real heavy diamond Paco jumper purchased in The GPO Arcade. Like a fool I wore it into the Asylum one night and never took it off. Must have lost a half stone in body fluids from sweatin in it:D
    Anyone remember this track?

Mix Factory - Take Me AwayP

Always one of my favs too. Hope this floats your boat.

Lads i hope none of yous wore them leather waistcoats in the olympic, if so, you may be asked to leave the board;););););)

My biggest crime was one of em paco diamond jumpers and NO i do NOT loiter outside the spar on thomas street.....:D:D:D:D:D:D

Always wore one in the Olympic when i started going first, no t-shirt on under it and a pair of baggy jeans from Unique, ****in cool.

Then i started wearing shorts in the Olympic - not many people did - I always had a nice dry/clean pair of jeans and tshirt to put on afterwards. Thinking back, with the shorts on i looked like either Bevous or Butt Head, probably Butt Head!! After the Olympic closed I wore shorts into the Ormond one night and i had loads of people coming up to me saying "you used to go to the Olympic, i remember the shorts."

Going to Sides was a pair of Black 501's, a pair of Max, black tshirt and the good auld diamond jumper - I did graduate to a black 3/4 length leather jacket, but that was for mid week having a few beers/j's out in the elements at night.

Still wear jeans, max and tshirt to this day, my wife goes mad, she wants to know when I'm going to grow up....neverrrrrrrr

    Cheers,
    Mick

PS. The next time you go raving in a pair of shorts don't let anyone massage your legs, it rips the hair off...aghhhhhhh

Paul that mix is the sound track to an Olympic video on Mr Springs site. The site has been recently changed, not as user friendly as it used to be but mess about on it there's ok stuff on it. Pressure mixes, videos, etc.
    http://www.mrspring.info/index.php

Here is the direct link to the video with the mix:
    http://www.mrspring.net/downloads/mediafiles/Back21993_TheMovie.wmv

Would be great if someone could put that soundtrack onto mp3 format.

Another Olympic video from the site:
    http://www.mrspring.net/downloads/mediafiles/OlympicMoonshine.wmv

Check out this site, know you'll like it.

Here is a bit of footage he sent me. Full Credits to Luke G for this one.

Use to always love this track in the Olympic, probably my favourite. The place used to erupt when that piano break kicked in!! :D And then when the bass kicked back in the building used to shake.
It takes me back every time I hear it.

Now there you go, that's a perfect example of lesser known Olympic Classic BaZmo, well done.
And there is loads of them, everyone knows the usual ones like Ringsend, NRG Rush etc. etc. etc. but theres a ganzy load you wouldn't have heard since you where there!
I have that somewhere, was lookin for it for a while after listeneing to it there on the youtube clip but cant find it. I'm sure someone will post it up.
Anyway talkin about the bass speakers in the Olympic here is one you will know, this would have sent shock waves through the dance floor and shook the foundations, again a lesser known one and a lesser known very early Asylum track which follows. Both are off a compilation cd that I will upload later.

    Mighty Ming - Olympic

    I Trance You - Asylum

They mix into each other, let us know if you can play them and if so what do you think of them please, thanks.
