    Soccer isn't popular in the USA because they are not seeing it 24/7. Likewise they are being force fed basketball, baseball etc which is why those sports are popular there.

    Soccer was nothing before Italia 90. It was only played in the cities mostly.

    What? Are you from Dublin by any chance?

    Compare the league of Ireland crowds with the crowds that go to GAA matches! Even rugby is more popular than soccer in some places, like Limerick.
