Mywheels has no record of this Pantera, maybe exported before 1993? Im not sure how old the pic is, but im guessing mid '80s? Are they MK1 Granada rear lights?

Idea for a new thread there Carchaeologist. same as IVS mag, old pictures from around Ireland with an automotive flavour.

where did you find that pic??, never knew of SZR 11 before, only Pantera i knew of was the one owned by a former owner of Mondello

Owned by a chiper in Carrick On Suir.
Long gone according to a friend of mine.

    Not Mk1 Granada lights.

No, they're Carello Tail lights. Fitted to a a lot of Italian cars from the 70-ies:

    Maserati Bora, Indy, Ghibli
    Detomaso Deauville
and the Alfa Romeo Berlina, 2nd series like the one we sold recently...

Looks like the american car club was out again, despite the grimy weather.

Sorry for the crap shots, but it's stills from my onboard camera and I haven't quite sussed the angle out yet, so I guess it just doesn't get enough light in this weather.

Anyhow, I zipped past them on the M50 going north somewhere around 12:30 near the M4/N4 turn-off.

Any links to ad, price and general condition?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 874 ✭✭✭Ali Babba

It's not on any ad as far as I know, just spoke to the owner who said he would sell it, he's the second owner of it and bought it when it was 6 months old. It's in pretty good condition, some very slight rust here and there and it's driving well. A good wash would make a big difference to it to be fair. He's hoping for 2-2500 euros but I can P.M. details if anyones interested.

Nice one. I would have loved to see that :) I just had left Cars and Coffee in Cherrywood and was on my way back towards Roscommon. So if you saw something german in blue with V8 rumble passing by, that was me. Even though, i'd say you had plenty of V8 rumble yourself, so you wouldn't hear the grunt from me :)

Didn't notice ya dude - too busy trying to keep a giddy V8 (sans traction et al) on the road in the pissins (torquey little feckkers)! Once we got on the M1 it dried up nicely and we were able to open them up!

That's the whole idea. A blue 5-series bimmer doesn't look like it has 400 bhp V8 under the bonnet and blends in most of the time. The muscle cars however stick out.

Aye. I can see where you're coming from.

Unless someone can correct me, and I don't mind that.. that Mini is not a Cooper (fixed rear windows suggest it's a Sprite) and it's a 92 model at the latest (bonnet release in grill).
