Spotted this 2004 Mexican Beetle in Carrickmines earlier today:
Funny, the Type 1 Beetle finished production in 2003, this mustn't have been registered 'till the following year.
Although it's not really visible in the photo (I had the camera on maximum zoom), I did manage to get the reg. plate number on it: 04-L-3148.

That Beetle or a very similar one was in Arthur's Quay car park for years with "for sale" signs on it, along with a red one nearby. I only noticed they were gone last week though I don't park there often.
Saw a black '87 BMW E30 M3 today, sorry no pics
. Not sure if it was a legit M3 but the gigantic wheelarches were certainly convincing.
Update on that garage in Toomevara - there's now three W124 saloons there, a Vauxhall Calibra and possibly something else of interest (was too dark to see the last time I passed the place).0 -

E30 shell had torsional problems, genuine M3's had a 150mm wide raised band over the rear window to combat flex, also the boot lid extended the full width of the car, with the shut lines on the flanks as opposed to the std version which had a boot lid which was 40mm ish narrower that the rear end and shut lines on the horizontal surface.0 -

Thats the Ultima edicion, like this one. They are the final beetles made, although a blue one was the last built, complete with flowers on the bonnet,and even given a final salute by a Mexican Trumpet band, the VW Museum also has the last one which is white??

saw this car in Galway yesterday, was on US plates so I dont know if it was imported by someone locally or whether its tourists on holiday. Didnt get a picture but its exactly like this, right down to colour and wire wheels....
I think its a Brougham, the Fleetwood name was applied to smaller front wheel drive cars from 1985-1992 so Brougham was in use
to distinguish it from the other cars. It was the longest Cadillac in production from 1977-1992.0 -
