I saw Jay28's 260Z on saturday, near the Beehive on the N11, passing me in the opposite direction

That car looks mean, almost like a stealth car

This VW is for sale, located in Tyrconnel Park, Dublin 8.

It's a bit rusty though - would need a brave restorer....

If you're implying a gay man there, there's none in this country with a style vacuum large enough to drive a matt hot pink VW...

    Nice car that E-Type.

Love the Webasto sunroof. Hate the white wall tyres!

I think they were called interceptors, 14" chromed steels.

They were available for the beetle too but you don't see them very often.

I've not seen one of these before - a 1979 Lancia Gamma according to Cartell - pictured in Dorset Street this evening.

More like an Isopon Gamma, more filler and fibreglass than metal, I remember one of them near me before and you could see the rust outline of the car on the ground after it left, it's where the expression "Rust bucket" came from.:pac:

Only a true enthusiast would seek one out though - the owner knows what he wants I reckon. I always liked Lancias of that era (probably because I didn't own one!)

Strange looking car - the front is typical Alfa, Fiat, Lancia but the rear is very angular in a very un-Italian way - more like something from the far east or Oz me thinks.

The Fiat 130 was quite angular as were various Alfas (like the Alfetta) - but I know what you mean - its got a slightly Proton thing going on at the back (probably means that the Koreans were late to that particular '70s party)

That Gamma is a coupé and a bit rarer than the normal ......

Actually I can't remember the correct term for the regular model; it looks like a hatchback, but it has a boot with a clever double hinge that allows it to open up to such a level that you can get stuff into the boot without smacking your head on the lid every time.

They were a very nice car to drive and had the usual Lancia refinement (no, not the red powdery stuff) of a dash-mounted oil level gauge that worked on a little pump. Press the button and it sniffed up a little oil from the sump. How much it sniffed depended on the oil level.

Another interesting feature was an enormous number of relays. There were lots of electrical goodies including town and country settings for the air horns, but almost everything was relay-driven. It had the most elaborate wiring diagram I've ever seen of any car from the 70's.

Now there's a clever idea for an Italian car:D

I remember being in Bray co. Wicklow many years ago and seeing a few Fiat 130s parked around a hotel there, don't remember the name i'm afraid, does anybody remember them? Also in Dunlaoire there were a couple of Rolls Royce Silver Clouds parked on the side of a street there, looked abandoned, does anyone remember these?

I assume this would be quite rare: an Original Irish Citroen DS

Reg was something like 3xx USI (A Dublin Car so), apologies for the poor photo.

The Proton was exactly what I had in mind or the Mitsubishi it copied, or even that two door Subaru with the same lines.
