Crazy how quickly the roads have dried after that torrential down pour.

Do we have a chance for more activity tonight at all?

Im In castlebar and can't see it happening here. Seems to be too cool. Hope I'm proved wrong though.

The models say the front should produce heavier rain as it moves north but I doubt it will spark much tbh

Sitting outside in roscommon and haven't heard a peep yet, definitely not seen anything.…though met eireann is showing a load of strikes right outside town.. the direction I'm facing!

Is there anything showing up on lightning maps for you all? Hasn't been a peep out of it in a half hour even though ive refreshed it

I know it's probably user error but I feel like I'm being gaslit about the lightning on my doorstep 😄

Oh, just checked blitzortung and it's showing them, slightly older strikes... must have patience

I haven't seen anything on lightning maps or another app I use but saying that maybe we will get something yet , I'm in carrick on shannon , still very warm isn't it

Lightning strikes have eased last 20 minutes or so. Air smells like just it rained here but still dry.

Thstvpassed over us on the north Clare coast about 9:30. Small little shower then but very dark. It’s filled it a lot since then.

Its grand here now, it's cooled off a good bit and feels fresh

I can see now on blitzortung.org, the strikes on met e were just hard to see in the radar

Nothing at all on lightning maps when earlier it was working grand, idk

Any more word from our Clare Correspondents, is the cell edging its way up to Galway?

Heavy rain for the past hour and a half in castlebar. Lightening still visible over Westport and Newport . It was some thunder show from 4:30 to 5:30 today. It never stopped , not a breaks between claps of thunder . Haven’t seen anything like that since a holiday in France once . Next day there was hail storms with hail as big as a golf ball . Hope that doesn’t come . Starting to cool down here finally .

It stopped all of a sudden around 22:30ish for us down Castlerea direction.. There was a lot of lightning for about an hour.
