Token had its issues, but they would not have tolerated Super Mario World haphazardly slapped on a HD TV.

Ahh it did , cabs were in bits and lucky if controls worked ...but it was something , it was a good effort and it was successfull

This is going to sound really petty but it absolutely grinds my gears when people refer to arcade machines as 'arcades', as if indivudal machines are called 'arcades' - the arcade is the room all the machines are in, not the machines themselves!

In fairness I never copped that ...arcades at lane7. Jeez now you have me annoyed , I've never heard anyone refering to an arcade cabinet as an arcade

I kinda class an "arcade" as somewhere which holds more than one arcade cabinet.

Yet i would also class it as a collection of a few arcade cabs in the same area . As in an arcade is a plural of arcade cab just as gaggle is a plural of geese .

Maybe three or more cabs I'd collectively class as an arcade 😂

Your bang on..from that description I would expect multiple buildings with cabs.

So that's another dispute when I go there and another reason I shall be ejected .

Being generous, I think that just refers to there being multiple venues and therefore multiple arcades, as opposed to multiple arcade machines.

When they show me I'll say " so just one arcade is it, your website says you have arcades" and then shall start the argument if they point out other cabs.

Again everything in this flow chart results in me being ejected from the ARCADE

Had a few games today. I'm actively getting worse. Couldn't get to the first boss without losing a life. Well rested as well so can't use that excuse.

Quick go post Monster Hunter and a minor improvement. Good run of stage 4, and there's an extra life there (if you've lost your other lives).

After a night of failure on a particularly harrowing boss in Wizardry I topped the night off with Gigawing failure. Managed to get to the second stage boss once without dying and bottled it.

Wasn't going to rest easy until I got three trillion. Finally got there and immediately died, but can retire in peace now :P

This one really triggered my latent 'bullet hell sicko mode' that has been lying dormat for a while. Can't get enough of those sweet gold tokens. It's a great game, to be fair: quite easy systems when getting to grips with the basics (relative to some of the more arcane scoring systems out there), but with a lot of complexity and variability. You can really feel the complexity creeping up as you learn a few more tricks and tactics. It offers big rewards for committing to a combo. But ultimately it's still a single stray bullet that can stop a good run in an instant.

Feeling the urge to get back into DoDonPachi DaiOuJou now as haven't given the Shot Trigger release enough time.

I'm not sure why this one didn't click with me. And not that I didn't enjoy it, it definitely clicked with me that it's a well made fun game, more that I just couldn't get better at it. I've played my fair share of bullet hells but I just could not improve playing this one.

Yeah I've enjoyed it, but regards to high scoring I just ain't got it .

Hasnt helpe that you have decimated the competition from the get go and have just continued to do so.

I do like seeing me own high score and others gradually rising with practice and and healthy competition compared to often pityfull scores at the start posted ....by me usually

Right this is your chance. @o1s1n.you are the only hope . I've pulled a track and field strop and not attempted seeing the scores and my Sad scores compared .

Some times hope and perseverance is just not enough and ya need knock it on the head and accept it's not your bag after giving it your all and seeing no improvement
