Torrential rain here now in NCD.

When it started raining earlier both of the kids asked what the noise was because they haven't heard it in so long😁

Very soggy afternoon here today in Kildare with some very heavy falls of rain.

    24mm in the gauge

We had 35mm from the event Finner had 30mm. Funny enough yr.no predicted 33mm for here a week ago but then showed 12mm nearer the event. Should have gone with their gut.

Mainly dry most of the rest of March with sporadic falls but could be another Friday Saturday repeat of this week next weekend. See early predictions of 25mm in some spots.

Bitterly cold in Cork this evening. The cold has been relentless the last few weeks, we seem to be stuck on 10C for about a month!

Quite wet here in Kerry from early yesterday evening giving about 15mm, main rain band gone through from early morning, cool breezy to windy and dull first half of the day with a few passing showers, brightened up nicely in the afternoon but remaining cool. Got up to 10C ( EDIT: had 19C down 🤣🤣 ) and currently 7C but feeling cooler in the N'ly breeze. Went out to look at the sky for Aurora but feeling the cold this evening, will give it a go tomorrow evening.

Still raining here in Eastern Ireland Sligo coz Met Eireann does say rain and cloud lingering in East and South.

Wettest Friday Saturday of 2025 so far. Hopefully drier after this shite n a bit milder around 13 or 14c. It's been raining 90 percent of the past 30 hours

You think the warmth is finally here and then boom, you get a winters day like today. That wind would cut you in two.

A beautiful morning here in Castlebar with long spells of sunshine. Cold though in a fresh northerly wind

No different to every other year, take it as it comes. It’s dry and sunny, warmth is a bonus at this stage of the year.

Miserable auld morning here in Dublin damp and drizzly, with a cold breeze.

Cant complain though March has been fabulous and instead I've decided a house blitz is in order !

Long coast walk to clear the cobwebs. Aran Islands in the distance.

What are they doing in the Hyacinth House?

Yeah March can often be cold, wet and windy. March 2025 is actually significantly warmer than average so far too. It's so important to make the most out of these dry sunny periods.

    Mace Head Mean Temp = 9C (LTA = 7.5C).

    Athenry Mean Temp = 7.9C (LTA = 6.7C).

Some glimmers of sunshine now at the building site near Ardagh, Longford. I'm still processing wood from storm Éowyn! I'll have no shortage of firewood for a good while, that's for sure. The warmth from the sunshine is very welcomed.

Another beautiful morning. Looking forward to the clock change now. Hope the weather holds.

Valentia has recorded 39mm so far in March. They got 239mm in both 2024 and 2023.

What are they doing in the Hyacinth House?

If it wasn't for the chilly sea breeze it could be summer in Greystones. 10c

Another beautiful day today in the east. Wall-to-wall sunshine and temps up to 14º - so around 4º above average.

Some were commenting that the cold had been 'relentless'. While there have been some chilly nights there have also been plenty of days with temps around 13 or 14º - so more akin to early May than March.

    Long may it continue!

I’m worried that spring has been so dry, fully expecting the gods to punish us for this over summer
