In some torrential rain yesterday evening, A car clearly running a red light got me with a full body puddle splash from behind while I waited for the green man. At least it was the end of the day and not the start but I was pissed.

meant to come back to this…was working on the car the other day,job needed both a 10mm socket and a 10mm ring spanner…did the job,had another thing to do which needed a 14mm spanner…put the 10mm socket and spanner on the engine cover, safe and level spot, went to the boot, got the 14mm and….both the 10mmsocket and spanner have disafcukinpeared, gone!!not on the drive, not on the undertray, around the engine bay, fuerkin gone!!! searched high and low, moved the car, nothing…think either aliens or superman were stuck for 10mm sockets and spanners!!!

"They gave me an impossible task, one which they said I wouldnt return from...."

"You are him…the one they call the "Baba Yaga"…

yo,kevo…im still waiting on my free rte branded flip-flops and macaroons…

Interesting? Can't say I spend my life finding 10mm spanners and sockets on the road but over the years I've picked up at least four 10mm sockets and one 10mm spanner.

Wake me up when it's all over.

A friend of mine lost his pencil while laying a laminate floor. A search conducted high up and low down failed to locate the errand item . That evening when tidying up and with the light hitting the floor in a certain direction a small lump was observed under the floor,to this day he is convinced it is his pencil. Luckily for all involved it was located directly under the bed and remains there still. 🤨

People who say Look too much in interviews.

Look, I don't mind using it occasionally, but look, using it too much is over the top. Look, lots of people feel this way.

There was a bloke on newstalk this eve talking about J1s to America and he must have said it about forty seven times.

Orange is the new black and look is the the new ehh.

I’ve ‘ mislaid ‘ my spanner’s though I am sure they’re is the house somewhere . Ratchet spanner’s , which once you loosen the nut should make life easier .

Screwdrivers also….They’re always impossible to find. Any time I need one at home it’s like they’ve disappeared into the aether when I go to look for it. I think I’ll invest in a screwdriver set this weekend and I’ll keep it in a specific place under the stairs, never to be left out or misplaced.

This morning’s TA is that I thought it would be a good idea just to wear a hoody instead of a thick jacket this morning. I’m sitting in the coffee shop area in work totally soaked and shivering cold now as a result.

That must be Nigel with the brie...

It is getting embarrassing now. Oprah fake-crying at the launch, Bezos faceplanting outside the capsule, US press hyping it as an historic event, Perry and co. referring to themselves as the first all-female 'crew' 🙄

This guy points out that technically they are over 60 years late if they want to be the first all-female crew in space, and she spent 3 days there not 3 minutes.

Those AI "action figure package" images on social media ceased being funny a long time ago.

Bus Eireann and others, please stop doing them. They're lame.

Considerably less rich after visiting space! It is rumoured she didn't pay though, Bezos probably comped her trip as she is friends with him and his girlfriend and she is good promotion for these flights.

She is good at blagging free gifts, she managed to wrangle a Cybertruck out of Elon Musk too.

The way sink tap nozzle's water dispersion pattern rarely works properly.

What I mean is, you know once in a blue moon, you turn on the tap and the water stream is divided up perfectly into individual single separate streams, instead of that single ugly fat stream.

It looks so much more aesthetically pleasing, it feels nicer to wash your hands under too, like the water isn't as heavy or something.

I always thought this was a feature of more expensive taps but now I'm thinking the majority of taps have this, they just don't work generally due to water pressure or something.

In the middle a Lidl today. A big set on its own stand for a tenner and an nice little ratchet handle with all the bits you'd ever need for another tenner. €20 and your fixed.

Ohh nice, thanks for letting me know 👌 I’m going to Lidl tomorrow to pick up some Easter eggs so hopefully the screwdrivers will still be in stock.

Probably fell into the engine, odds are you'll need a new engine 😀

I'd be more concerned about the Easter egg stock 😂 not much left in Tesco (a massive Tesco) yesterday at 4.

Quality is OK or at least I've bought at least 3 similar sets from Lidl and not had any problems.

My TA here is that these are wall mounted I prefer that sort of set in a box.

    ‘Surcharges’……..

A local healthcare company looking to charge a significant surcharge if you want mobility devices which you purchased from them, assembled by them. If you went to your local bicycle shop they won’t charge you for assembling the bike you purchase. Good luck to anyone with a mobility issue trying to get a box of tools together and safely completing that job, which of course the company knows. 💶

an order online from a hardware shop. Price of the item, 15 meters of rope is €20.20, but the delivery charge is €6. Almost a 30% surcharge on top of the price of the item for delivery… I can’t go there as they are out of stock in store and have been for two months.

What's the charge for delivering the rope to the local branch?

I have my morning routine where I sit up in bed and do wordle anmd the other NYT games. If i don't do it then, I do it at my desk before I start work in my home office.

Last two weeks I have had to go into the office and be there extra early. So I've been getting up at 5.

I forgot to do wordle last week. I was at a 296 streak. The last time I missed a streak it was because of a horrendous hangover. This time it was because of a change of routines.
