Women in queues to buy things. The wait till everything is scanned before reaching for their purse and rummaging around to find the exact money to pay.

Women claim they can multi task but this shows they can't and it based on a very old study about house chores they were familiar with compared to men who were less familiar with doing these tasks. So that claim also annoys me

the TFI app. Launched over 18 months ago with fanfare and bluster, and it’s still massively clunky, inaccurate, stalling (ffs), user unfriendly and a terrible waste of effort.

It’s not like there were no templates… every major European city I’ve visited has and has had similar apps for years… user friendly, quick, smoothly reactive, integrated and conveniently navigable and with real time accuracy…..

used it there for the first time in months and not surprised that the TFI app has not really anyway improved.

Just got a call. Universally positive feedback from the panel. Didn't get it.

The Bus Eireann site is abysmal. Every year, I've to book tickets online. Of course, one cannot merely select "Dublin Airport" as one would expect in a functioning system. No, no, no. One must select "Dublin Airport, terminal X, stop Y" because the few seconds walk is vital to calculate how much your single to Cavan will be.

I can go on National Express and put in something like London to Norwich and it'll suggest stops from which I can select one.

Why the #### are the UK still allowed play in the "EURO"Millions? They're not in Europe anymore, they should take everything that comes with Brexit, warts and all.

Plus, they're the one nation out of the 9 countries that doesn't have the Euro as their currency. It's not the SterlingMillions. It's a mockery that they're in it.

Edit: And it gets worse. UK entrants pay £2.50 per line, which is about €3, which automatically enters them into the UK Millionaire Maker, where there's a guaranteed millionaire in every draw, sometimes more than one.

    Screenshot_2024-11-27-16-17-00-596-edit_com.android.chrome.jpg

We have to pay an extra €1 for the EuroMillions Plus draw where there's no guaranteed winner, and the top prize is half of that of the UK. You'd be lucky if there's 1 top prize winner of the EuroMilllions Plus draw on average every month.

And in the main EuroMilllions draw I don't think there's been an Irish winner for around 3 years.

Had a lovely parking spot picked out in the middle of one of the blocks on the main street in town. Indicated my intention to parallel park into it, it was as clear as day that was my intention as the nearest left turn off was a bit up the way and I had stopped to begin the process. Just as I started reversing, some ignoramus in a white van basically stopped at my bumper and started beeping me as if I was going to reverse into him.

And then about an hour later, the carpark in the supermarket was very full but eyed someone about to leave. Pulled up in line with them ready to take their spot, when a different ignoramus zoomed into the space like a vulture. Gave him my best side-eye.

"Euromillions" is just a name. It doesn't have any connection to the Euro currency or EU membership. It is simply a joint lottery between countries.

    They're not in Europe anymore

EU =/= Europe. UK is, and always has been, in Europe.

Plus, they're the one nation out of the 9 countries that doesn't have the Euro as their currency.

    It's not the SterlingMillions.

Switzerland does not use the Euro and is not an EU member. It's not the FrancMillions either.

Next you'll complain that they still compete in the Eurovision.

completing an online document, allowing myself to be distracted by someone at the last section and on reviewing after sending (which wasn’t clever), finding that at the end I signed one of the names of our group twice…example… James K, Kevin S & James K… so it will look like I completed it drunk or stoned. Silly, silly. But

This is a lot more than trivial for me as I feel very strongly about voting - missing the general election on Friday.

Exactly - none of this crap back in the days before social media. When a player retired, it was done quietly without any fuss or fanfare. Another thing i also hate is when the tv cameras show players emerging from the team bus with their Airpods or Beats headphones on acting like they are premier league footballers…FFS

People deliberately misunderstanding my words as an excuse to be annoyed at me. I know for a fact he's doing it to be nasty too.

TA #1, trying to find this thread, I googled for it… I went through 4 old threads and the last one ended in a cul de sac! Should've just gone through After Hours.

TA #2, paying in cash at M&S self service, wanted change… put in €50 note… no change comes out… think I needed to answer the 'receipt' wanted question first and then each note comes out slowly like a gnome inside is pushing it out. All well in the end so only a TA.

A special festive F*ck you to the blonde weapon in her big stupid ugly white land rover , who while waiting to turn left at a roundabout while the car in front was waiting to go straight, decided to mount the footpath to undertake him and came within inches of hitting three kids. Not slowly either, she seriously put the foot down.

Stupid bint, hope she gets four punctures.

This is gonna be controversial but charity drives in the workplace.

Every fing week there is a person, cause, marathon, run etc etc that these do-gooding eejits want me to "contribute" to. I get taxed 52 odd percent and the cost of living crisis has me on a shoestring yet I'm the bad guy if I don't contribute to your little attention seeking cause.

    Edit: wrong thread

This is only a ta bc I've seen it a million times, a young boy who was prone to "giving out" and annoying people it hampered his ability to socialise with his peers.

Acted out due to being alienated and lonely, so many ppl took him "aside" and told him to be quiet or "go along to get along".

Today his testing came back showing he has a strong inclination and ability to product invention and building. Essentially this youngster can see a system and figure out how to "improve" it or make it more accessible for people or traffic(his particular passion).

I weep for the youngster who was told he was mad/crazy/annoying bc he couldn't articulate his gift or have grownups who asked the follow-up questions to check his logic. So so many kids like this falling thru the net or not surviving.

Even more of a ta is that having listened to him over time I could see that's what was happening, he got so frustrated when things like traffic crossings or tills didn't work in a human-based sequence didn't work "properly" in his mind. Soooooooooooooo obvious if ppl listened to him instead of labelling him.

Similar TA when I went for an interview with Apple for a job they had posters up everywhere saying "Think Different". Only problem was they wanted drones with no thoughts whatsoever.

Wake me up when it's all over.

bought a new pedometer and I can’t get it to work. It’s recording my time spent walking, but not distance walked or my steps. I’m not levitating about the fûckin place so…. Had used a brand Karrimor for about 10 years and had two of theirs in that time which worked perfectly, just clip it on and walk. TA is I should have stuck with the usual reliable brand over the crappy impulse buy…

That the loudest anti-everything crowd who moan constantly for years about not getting this, not getting that, immigrants, jobs, healthcare etc can't even be arsed to drag themselves away from the sofa or tv for half an hour to bother voting.

Himself is watching the election results......it's been on all morning bar lunchtime when he left the room and home alone went on.

I actually didn't think "normal" people watched this.
