    Awful decision on tector

Missed the bat, where did the spike come from? Afghanistan would win a world appealing championship, them or Nepal

36/3 now, 75 more needed. End of the 2nd session

Read it again. Said "edging towards controlling" it.

Sure did. Might be edging towards controlling it again. Gone too close for comfort, sorry about that

  • Registered Users Posts: 599 ✭✭✭dohboy

Afghans just like burning their reviews so they can get back to appealing for everything.

Cripes, Stirling like a rabbit caught in the headlights there.

    Oh sh1te

This is a serious bottle job from the Irish batsmen. It's crazy how poor they are against spin. They just lose their minds completely, Stirling could've been out 3 balls in a row. Even more frustratingly the Irish spinners were absolutely toothless on this pitch

Stirling gone, another poor shot… just hung the bat towards the ball, not enough conviction.

still, did we envision that Ireland would do it the easy way ?

For fear of crowing it, at what point do we start counting backwards? Target below 50 now 62/4

The time to panic will be if the text on the screen changes from the nimber of runs we need to win to the number of wickets they need to win.

  • Registered Users Posts: 39,501 ✭✭✭✭KevIRL

38 left to get. Good partnership this.

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,838 ✭✭✭✭Strumms

28 needed 6 wickets remaining, ok, I’m thinking we have this… we have to,

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,019 ✭✭✭Peter File

    19 to win and a 50 partnership.

    Confident now!!

  • Registered Users Posts: 713 ✭✭✭wicorthered

Captains know here in fairness to Balbirnie, kept his head when others were losing theirs. Tucker looks a good first class player!

    101/4.

    10 runs neded to win!

  • Registered Users Posts: 599 ✭✭✭dohboy

Great stuff and hats off to Andy Balbirnie and Lorcan too. Played a good partnership for this format.

    A test win.

  • Registered Users Posts: 713 ✭✭✭wicorthered

Great from those two at the end. At 13/3 I was sure it was over. Great fightback.

    Mark Adair brilliant all game

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,807 ✭✭✭Mysterypunter

Great stuff, better team and well deserved, nice to see it.

    Never in doubt 😅

Fantastic win, Highest batting score from any batsman was Balbirnies 58*, says a lot. A great all round performance from Ireland. 5/1 outsiders before the start of play on day 1.

Fair play to Andy Balbirnie, when I saw Ireland were 4 down for not much and he wasn't one of them I thought things were looking grim. Didn't expect him to be the one to guide Ireland over the line.

Contrary to some views on here I think he's played a v good capts role this game even outside this batting performance. Probably after tea yesterday the only issue along with some dubious reviewing on day 1.
