Can anyone recommend website to practice the aptitude test they use? All I've clicked into want a payment.... preferably a free website just for practice..... if they exist?

I don't think there is a free one unfortunately but I joined careers portal I think is the name. It was pricey but worth it definitely.

    Hey everyone,

Just looking for some information for my partner. She's currently living in the UK and is from there. Could she apply to the student paramedic recruitment process and if so would she need to be resident here first etc?

I just looked up the eligibility and it doesn't say anything on it that she needs to be a resident here, only difference is the educational eligibility that gce/gcse must meet the ucc criteria but otherwise she should be ok. Hope that helps

They might reply, it's hard to know but I suppose it's worth a shot so we know what our plans will be🤞

heard that they plan to change the CPGS for all levels coming end of 2025

Don’t think there will be a Sept class as they would need to retrain everyone again to the new Cpgs come Jan . New Cogs have to be in place for about 6 months before OSCES and MCQS can take place which fits with a Jan start.

Not 100% but think most likely scenario 😭

Did you happen to email, I see they're hoping to do another recruitment campaign autumn 25 so do you think they might send offers out for people on the aug 24 panel.

I paid for career services and I found it useless to be honest, the aptitude has been the exact same the past 2 years and it is the same as the sample one they give you on AON when they tell you about your date. Make sure that you don’t let this time out because I missed it the first time I applied. But the aptitude was the same the second time I applied so I knew what to expect.

Last year they announced the end of Sept around the 30th for places starting in Jan so there definitely will be no starting in September at this point. I’d expect notification at the late end of Sept /start Oct for January starts giving them time for medical and contracting ect.

Howdy guys, wondering if a gone on here has started as a trainee paramedic in the NAS college. I'm interested in apply and there is a potential recruitment drive in September this year.

My query is more on the financial side. There is the basic salary that you're given for the duration of the training.

After the 3 years does that salary continue or does it cease until you're placed in a position (how long does that take).

Also as a student paramedic do you receive the supplementary pay of working nights and weekends? How much does that typically amount to. Just trying to budget.

Thanks for any help and if anyone has any other advice I'd love to hear from you.
