What a wonderful step forward decriminalising what is essentially just a plant. It’d be great to see it happening here too but the pushback from the vintners would make the London Riots look like a minor misunderstanding.

Why is it ok (legally) to drink yourself silly but not smoke a plant?

It can show a positive test long after the effects have worn off but metabolites are still present.

Or not, when people are faced with regulations, costs of running a legitimate business etc. they might fins it easier to stay illegal.

Maybe with the UK having fecked off, our gloriously inept leaders will look to our German overlords for ideas... Unfortunately still a long way off in this country I reckon, as much as I want it. Seems like reasonable terms, can have nearly an oz on you and can grow 3 plants. I would have preferred 4 to keep the growing ticking over in a 4 plant pot, but 3 would suffice.

I can’t wait till it’s legal and easily got . Sitting around all day doing F all isn’t great for the appetite , plus it’s brilliant for spasms and pain . I tried CBD oil and it’s completely useless.

Silly move. Lots of studies reveal that smoking cannabis regularly increases a persons risk of developing lung problems, certain cancers and other health problems….so whatever impact that may have on the German health system which is btw a system rated amongst the best in the world… top 4 im reading…. Adding it here to Ireland with our problems…. ? Nahhh , keep it banned, sorry… 😉

Alcohol and cigarettes are causing huge health and mental issues. Do we want to add to this with weed as well? The dangers cannabis causes especially for young people is always downplayed by those who want cannabis legalised for their own selfish reasons.

Utter nonsense. I was in Dublin with work for a week last week and I saw the addicts smoking weed, but I also saw the lads into hip hop smoking joints, the baby goths around temple bar smoking joints and some regular looking mid 20’s to mid 30 year olds smoking weed. Far from the typical “druggie” looking people.

No it’s not.

I have never met someone pro legislation that wants cannabis available to teenagers.

Most want it for adults over 21, as the brain is still forming in your late teens and I’m pretty sure it’s been shown that cannabis damages brains that are still forming.

Regulating it won’t guarantee it, but it should make it harder for teens to get their hands on it than it is at present.
