Lessons learned so far:

1) meat is a class of food.

2) Ireland is part of Europe

3) EVs with a comparable range to an ICE car cost more to run if changing from a debt free ICE due to cost of loan.

So are Sicily, Sardinia, Corsica, Gotland, large bits of Denmark, Mallorca and so on. During the last glaciation event, you could have walked from Ireland to France. So given Ireland is regularly not an island, and spends far more time not being an Island than it does being one and is high and dry and part of the European continent, I'd say it's unequivocally part of Europe.

I am not aware of any reports saying we lost 80% of biodiversity. I guess you mean reports about losing 70% of wild biomass, but that is not biodiversity. Actual species loss rates are far lower and far lower than that would qualification as a mass extinction. You might see claims we have lost 20-40% of species. 75% needed for a mass extinction. But that is based on certain types of models. if you look at IUCN data, they would say only 0.8% of species have been lost since 1500. The truth is mass extinctions occur far too slowly for us to measure if we are in one live.

Not during glaciation events it isn't, because sea levels fall a lot, then Ireland is a contiguous part of the European continent. And glaciation events last a lot longer than interglacials, the last one lasted for about 100,000 years. Ireland has only been an island for 12,000. If your test of 'Europeaness' excludes 'islandness', then Copenhagen would no longer be in Europe.

My understand is that ireland is an island off the coast of continental Europe, and I don't think if you ask an Irish citizen he would find anything remotely contraversal in that statement.

We're at an unparalleled (in human history) rate of species extinction since about 1500 AD.

Although changes in weather patterns have little lasting long-term impact on growth, they can influence consumer off-take and affect short-term volume, mix and earnings.

July weather largely negative in Europe — In Europe, July temperatures were -0.7oC lower YoY, and precipitation +38mm higher vs 2022. Cooler temperatures were seen in the UK (-2.6oC) and Portugal (-2.2oC), while Greece was +1.4oC warmer Rainfall was notably higher in Switzerland (+145mm), Belgium (+134mm) and Denmark (+121mm), while Portugal was the only major European market notably drier (-21mm). In the 6 largest states in the US, weighted average temperature in July was flat (-0.1oC), while rainfall was slightly higher by +18mm. California (+0.6oC warmer) and Pennsylvania (+89mm wetter) were the largest deltas. Thats the playbook, the weather forum is famous for this behavior, look at the other threads on climate change. Same playbook, pick one thing other than the scientific evidence that could be construed as wrong and shout that the whole thing is a lie because of it. Its obvious to everyone. Best ignore.
