Thought it was a decent idea tbh but he just didn't put in a good kick. It needed to be a bit deeper and it was a try. Glasgow had totally run out of ideas at that stage.

It wasn't the worst idea in the world, the space was there but the execution was off.

    On the other hand

They just needed to keep the ball, keep going through the phases. Sooner or later a gap would appear or a penalty would be awarded. Both sides were tiring.

The kick was a <20% option, that's why most of the time it's only attempted when there's penalty advantage. But also, most of the time the team who are more than 3 points ahead when the clock is red don't end up losing the game.

Great finish to a very entertaining game. Great start to the weekend. I love the Heineken cup knockout stages

    Bulls vs Lyon is terrible.

All offloads, missed tackles, dropped passes and knock ons.

Bulls v Lyon is some low quality stuff! About 10-12 knock ons in 25 minutes

This Bulls Lyon game is entertaining, if a little poor quality. It was looking like a rout at 21-0 but Lyon just got 1 back

It's weird hearing the Cranberries being played on the PA at a match in South Africa!

Irish rugby fans are with Kiwis becoming the most despised in world rugby.

Won zero on the world stage outside of 6 nations. Yet in the space of a single page on Boards , sneer comments at Lyon , at Bulls and SA rugby public.

Great day of rugby ahead and into tomorrow. Stormers & LAR will be a cracker.

Mod: Quit it. If you don't like Irish rugby fans, then don't read an Irish rugby forum.

That tackle by dillane looked high

    Scrums are shocking so far

  • Registered Users Posts: 16,757 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

The La Rochelle loosehead keeps dropping his bind in the scrum. Could be big problems if he's still on the pitch when Malherbe comes on.

  • Registered Users Posts: 16,757 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

Stormers have been good, but need to convert all this pressure into points.

La Rochelle also giving away penalties in their 22.

    THat should be a YC

  • Registered Users Posts: 16,757 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

High tackle from La Rochelle then Skelton diving over the ruck to slap the ball out of the Stormers 9. Straight to the bin.

Skelton is a dirty ****, been holding players down at every ruck.

  • Registered Users Posts: 327 ✭✭bingobango12

Skelton laying on top of Stormers players at every opportunity. Knew what he was at there putting all his weight on the Stormers players ankle.

Finn Russell off after 14 mins

    Big blow for Bath

    Great try from Stormers.

Brilliant transition try from Stormers. Offloading, sidesteps, support lines. Had it all.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,206 ✭✭✭ongarite

That's a critical try. Needed to stretch lead with La Rochelle down to 14.

  • Registered Users Posts: 327 ✭✭bingobango12

    That’s a brilliant try.
