I got a recommendation to proceed today for cork, anyone else?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5 OnzyHD

Yes I also got Cork. Spoke to course director and as it’s new this year details are being ironed out but they will have accommodation recommendations closer to the time.

have you gotten the pre employment email yet?

I just got the email today requesting my documents

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 25 minilad

Can anymore shed more light on the verification of service document? Is that just for public service/hse employees or everyone?

    Thanks.

I emailed to ask and it is only for public service workers.

NDLS are saying it could be up to 15 days until I get my driver statement, what are you meant to do if they take longer than the deadline?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 25 minilad

Legend thank you! Was panicking a bit there trying to figure it out 😂

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 25 minilad

2 days is a bit unrealistic to get all the documents in, I'd presume they're more interested in getting the garda vetting process started and references etc should be ok to send ndls letter once we get it

Did anyone get any confirmation email after sending in documents?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23 Daisys99

    Hi all,

Just jumping in as this seams to be the most recent thread.

As of today Is anyone else going through the most recent campaign offically at eligibility sift phase? There seams to be little to no chats from anyone from new campaign.

Hi, I’m filling out Garda vetting form at the moment. Threads have been very quiet

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 25 minilad

Currently hounding my references to fill out the forms 😂

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 25 minilad

Is anyone feeling like we could get an earlier call up than September? Are pre employment checks usually done this far in advance

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5 paddy46

    @minilad what forms is that?

Im not sure.. The start date was only amended to 11/09 on Tuesday, I think it will take a lot of time. Isn't there some kind of a health/fitness test to do also?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23 Daisys99

Do ye mind me asking when did ye sit interviews , and when were ye placed on panel ?

im trying to join dots and piece together timelines. for a rough idea on how much of a panel is currently left.

    Thanks

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 25 minilad

The forms we had to send our references to fill out and send on.

There's no fitness test, just a medical exam and you have to do a step test if your bmi is over a certain number

@minilad I didn’t get any letter to give references to send on. I got a contact details form and rang my references to get their email address and phone number?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45 mdawgz

I don’t know how many is left on the panel but the next start date should be in January I think

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23 Daisys99

I reckon wont have long to wait for EOI'S.

They went out in Feb for a Sept class. So if the process takes that long, EOI'S for January will be very shortly.

Would be great to know what panel they will be pulled from.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23 Daisys99

    EOI's are out

    Hi all.

I am also on the new panel created 3rd May.

Would also love to know how many are left on the panels ahead of us.

Does anyone know how many were panelled from the interviews held a few weeks ago?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 25 minilad

As far as I remember the panel went live at the end of November and spaces were offered at the end of Feb so roughly 3 months

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30 Shinebright33

    Hi all,

I've been in the recent campaign and got placed 32 on the panel. Haven't heard anything back regarding EOIs. Now I did get made active the week after the panel went live on the 3rd May cause I only got my license activated. So just wondering how long will it take to receive word back considering some have received word already. Waiting has been torture, so is it just a case of continuing to wait impatiently haha ?

Anyone hear anything yet about medicals? Still waiting on a date, was initially told it would be around end of May but still no word yet

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45 mdawgz

Yes same. I think the email said no earlier than the end of May so will probably be soon enough

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14 adhdave88

Far as I know the people getting EOIs are from the earlier panel and had a wait of about 3 months. If you're on the supplementary panel like me we've a bit to go yet 😅

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23 Daisys99

    🙈 Not True.

Im on panel that went live May 3rd. Got EOI May 3rd.

Fair enough ignore me then. Would you mind sharing what number you were?

    Hiya

My brother got placed high 30s on the November 2022 panel (though it was delayed because of a mix up, his interviews were later) and he was told the Tallaght course is full.

There was a later EOI as one place opened up, but he didn't get offered it.

We can't make heads or tails of how it works. Is there a simple explanation anywhere?

He just got an email recently about a supplementary panel opening for Jan 24 intake too, and it's hard to know if he's basically guaranteed a place on it based on his Nov 22 placement? And it's hard to know if he should interview again for it. 🤔

Any help / guidance / explaining is so appreciated.

Has anyone heard from occupational health?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 25 minilad

I emailed them last week, they said they didn't have dates for our medicals yet. The waiting is killer!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14 RE96olol

Wonder what happens if we’re on holidays?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 25 minilad

They mentioned in email that you can send on any dates you're not available to the occupational health email address

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45 mdawgz

It’s crazy! It’ll certainly be cutting it close for people who need to get accommodation or give notice.
