Anyone get the deluxe Revolver yet?

There was a deal on Amazon Italy last week where it was half price - €62.

Five CDs - mono, stereo, two sessions discs plus an EP with Paperback Writer & Rain (mono & stereo)

Nice book but underwhelming audio content and no BD - so no hi-res disc, unlike the four previous sets. Glad I got it in a sale.

Dick James. His name completely escaped me. That's the guy who shows up at one point in the Let it be doc and it's clear they're not exactly best buds with him.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

    Holding tyrants to the fire

Epstein was savvy enough to spot The Beatles and groom them for success but as a manager he was quickly in over his head.

He effectively gave the Beatles’ merchandising rights in the US to a socialite called Nicky Byrne (90:10 split in Byrne’s favour) and when Epstein realised his mistake he grandly offered Byrne a job with NEMS for a hundred thousand pounds a year, little realising that Byrne was probably making that a month at that stage.

Epstein didn’t have a clue and when he realised his mistake it was too late, he lost out on literally hundreds of millions of dollars.

That's not true about McCartney. Paul himself even said he decided not to buy them at the time. He wasn't powerless, he could have bought them but he chose not to

He chose not to buy them but they were sold on without his consent is my point.

    Got you.

Sounds harsh but, that's the name of the game. The music industry is a filthy business.
