I stupidly forgot to add quite a substantial medical expense of circa 1500 when I completed my statement of liability form last week. Does anyone know if it's possible to do another one this year to include that expense? I don't really want to wait until next year if possible. I dont seem to have the option online to do another. Thanks in advance.

How is it that mine says "We are processing your most recent request. Your Statement of Liability will be available shortly." Any way to find out the processing time ?

when did you submit your details?

That status took a few days for me, after a while that link redirects you to your statement of liability - you can see your over- or underpaid amount there - if you are eligible to get a refund there then it will take a few more days.

Same here. Did on 2nd Jan too. I'm stuck for my refund! Expected it before now. It was quicker last year

Just off tho phone from revenue. Mine is still outstanding. I applied iefd 3rd of January for statement of liability. I received from social welfare last year, top up payment, and at the end pup. ( so this might be the issue)

I was advised I won't hear anything back, after 17th of January. As social welfare, needs to update all payments received.

Mine seems to be delayed as well done it on the 4 Jan OH was on the sick for a week in 2021 wonder is that holding it up

Called revenue and had a similar chat, department of social welfare hoping to be finished checking payment records by the 24th of this month and after that point effected statements of liability will be process. Maternity and paternity leave payments holding things up in my case. I'd say anyone who has any reference to department of social welfare in their financial affairs last year should expect a wait.

I think I will be owed a small amount, but I knew this year will be particularly challenging regards getting the statement. As many where on some sort of payment. Including myself.

Changed jobs now. And will be considered essential worker from now on. ( mind I'm reckoning no lockdown is ever going to happen in my working life) yay

Once the original submission has been processed, you should be able to amend it.

You can amend anytime during the year. No hassle there

Just looked at last year! I submitted my income tax return on the 2nd of January with herself having some PUP and ewss in her wages I got my SOL on the 19th of January.

im probably looking at that as well this year

Seeing the same issue as previous 2 years, shows as Available but when I click it says "We are processing your most recent request. Your Statement of Liability will be available shortly.".

I reckon it's pending additional approvals or manual review, last two years it was a significant refund so likely over some threshold for automatic processing.

I keep getting an error message when I click to view my SOL now. It hasn’t been available as of yet. I usually get the normal message saying it’s processing and will be available soon but now I’m just getting an error message. Anyone else having a similar issue?

If page 1 on your SOL states a refund will be issued to your bank account on file, it can take up to 5 working days to issue to your account.

It says 5 days...but from experience 2 working days tops. Usually next working day after sol recieved.

Does anybody know if you claimed for the single person child carer tax credit in 2020 does this automatically go onto your 2021 SOL?

I'm not sure did I allocate it

If avialable its under family tax credits

And usually goes on automatically unless you started working

Submitted my return for tax year 2020 back in mid December and haven't been issued my SOL yet. Very frustrating. Is there any point in calling them?

How did u managed to do that mid December? They only where available to apply in 1st of January? Are you sure ur waiting for right thing?

Either way... According to revenue, if you received any social welfare payments SOL won't be available until or after 17th of January..

But I still don't thing ur waiting for SOL at all as its end of year statement and... December wouldn't cover it. Unless u applied for years previously to 2021

I wanna say, you also will be waiting for it if you or your other half received and social that year.

Social welfare has to confirm payments made.
