Michael D Higgins insists he is President of Ireland, refuses to commemorate partition

What ya all make of this? He says he is President of Ireland, not President of the Republic of Ireland and he won't commemorate partition by the sound of it. Do you agree with him? How does one make a poll here? My own view is he is mostly correct but I'm not sure is office is suppose to this political? The govt says they…

So which bit of the stalemate and compromise that the GFA was, do you not understand?
Do you really understand what you are talking about here, because as I said, if you did understand you would know nobody is going to rise to your taunt. Nobody got all they wanted, and there was certainly no suggestion that Dublin or SF or the IRA would get first dibs on calling a referendum.
