Had neither shot and also won't have booster.

Yes. Was floored after 2nd Moderna but will still take booster. A day of feeling sorry for myself versus being fecked for weeks or worse I'll take a gamble on.

I took my first two as soon as they were offered.

I'd be slightly reluctant to get a booster at the moment, because a handful of Western countries have hoovered up most vaccine supply thus far, and it seems greedy and irresponsible to be doing precautionary top ups for us before the wider world population even get their most vulnerable vaccinated.

No I'm good, I've given this topic more time than I intended already. Take care.

Yes, as long as it is the same as the previous vaccine company.

Or we were misinformed, intentionally or not, in the first place regarding the efficacy of a double shot.

Racism is now hiding behind the cloak of Community activism.

Yeah I’ll take a booster. No point in not doing so.

I had no problems at all with the Pfizer/BioNTech jabs - absolute walk in the park from my point of view and I’m very glad to have been able to get them.

I will also make a donation to UNICEF again though, as I think I’m in an extremely lucky situation to be able to get access to these vaccines so easily. If it goes towards ensuring several others get a jab, at least it’s something towards reducing someone’s risk of serious illness or death somewhere.

This is my problem with it too. I would take it but if there was a terrible outbreak in an unvaccinated population elsewhere it would be hard not to feel guilty about it.

I hadn't thought of that but it's very sound logic.

I'll only take it if required in order to travel or eat inside. I'm not too concerned about getting the covid, I could have had it already for all I know. Since I got my Johnson jab about 3 months ago I seem to get a little nauseous here and there and a few head aches which I never got before. Maybe they are completely unrelated but it's made my decision for me

I've yet to get the second Pfizer on dr advice after developing severe tinnitus after the first one 3 months ago. I'm waiting it out, if it goes away then I'll be considering the second one, albeit hesitant because if I get rid of this I don't want it coming back. :( So with that in mind I wouldn't be even thinking of a booster yet. That's the only thing stopping me though, I've no issue with the vaccine in theory, just with this damn ringing in my ears.

I have O negative blood, seems unlikely Covid will effect me much…have had two AZ shots, absolutely zero side effects, has kinda convinced me about my blood type being resistant.

You "can't" have the booster. You still haven't figured out how vaccines work 🤣

    Yes I will

Had Covid early last March, quite bad for a fortnight, never needed to call the Doctor or anything. Double jabbed now since May, will wait and see how things go elsewhere for now.

The poll is not worded correctly.

Option 3 should be "No - I would rather have more lockdowns"

No they can feck off with their boosters. Maybe if a delta specific one or other updated vaccine becomes available I'll eventually get it but I won't want a 3rd dose of the same stuff. They can shag off, at that point they're only keeping the vaccine treadmill/money spinner going.

Also getting a vaccine or any auld substance injected into you because the government has taken away your right to eat in a restaurant/drink in a pub is completely the wrong reason. Let everyone decide for themselves how much vaccine they want and feck government coercion

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,566 ✭✭✭Risteard81

I also can't have an adverse reaction to the injections.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,566 ✭✭✭Risteard81

So-called "lockdowns" are implemented by the State which has attempted to mandate needles. Needles don't prevent this abuse of power - angry mobs prevent this abuse of power.

Whats the point, we all have to get natural covid infection.

    Delaying the inevitable.

Get your vaccine, keep yourself in good health.

Prepare to get covid in next few months.

Get your few bits ready for being home for a week.

This endless boosters for everyone is nonsense.

Must be a conspiracy theory because they reported it too right?

Don't worry, it should be on RTE soon enough so you'll know its from a "trusted" source.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 303 ✭✭.42.

Yes as long as it’s the same as my previous shots which was Pfizer.

100% yes. At the first available opportunity.

No, had a horrible reaction to my second dose of Pfizer.

Do you believe that blood type thing?

I'm O but its your age and general health not a blood type.

    I'm very skeptical.

We all convince ourselves covid wont affect us, oh i had a cold in December 2019.

    It was covid.

    BS mostly.

    Same with blood type.

With regards no side effects, over 60's dont get many whatever the brand.

Im not sure how reassuring it is to get no side effects considering you are trying to get an immune response.

Its not covid they are injecting you with.

Im in my 40s got AZ and had reasonable side effects especially the first dose.

I found it reassuring to get a response.

    Everyones different i suppose.

I'll take the first booster but that'll be it I think. Not getting injected every six months indefinitely to enjoy some liberties I should have anyway. If you can still transmit it then it's diminished a lot of the reason I got the vaccine in the first place.
