Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Some of these nominations are weird.

    Adele, because Smells Like Teen Spirit is brilliant.

    Pass on the second. Whitney version is amazing, and I don't think Yellow Submarine is all that over-rated tbh.

    Bryan Adams, because it's good, but not 16 weeks at number one good.

    And Disturbed, because I genuinely don't get the grá for that version.

    Pass on the second; don't know enough to judge.

    Righteous Brothers on the third, partly because I think Twist and Shout is under-rated, and also because Unchained Melody spent 70 billion gazillion weeks at number 1 in the 90s and I'm not sure it's entirely worth that.

    I never heard of it until it was nominated for tournament (or maybe a walrus) here. Pretty crap song as are the band in general. I researched a bit more and found this, Quote  "Rock Lobster" was well-received by critics, and went on to place at No. 147 on Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Songs of All Time list in December 2004."

    So going by that alone, I would call it vastly overrated, but hey, what do it know :)

    Journey - Don't Stop Believing. Tough one this, I despise Simply Red, but apart from my mother in law I don't know of a single other person who likes them. I find it hard to believe that they're actually rated that highly by most people, whereas in the past few years the whole world seems to think that Don't Stop Believing is the greatest song ever recorded, despite it being a very mediocre song in the 80s.
