Exactly…. Well said, that man has nothing to prove to anyone.

Both the Buggys and the Fogarty's are great Kilkenny hurling families, and speculation and discussion here, informed or misinformed, is very unfair on both.

1st round draw is very interesting. Boro are really unfortunate and in the midst of an injury crisis and however deep their player resources are, they'll have it all to do against GBC to avoid a relegation final. GBC are very unlucky not to much higher in the table, with missed chances the story of their league. Like intermediate with Blacks and Whites though, it's hard to see any team other than Lisdowney being relegated.

Tullaroan/Bridge will be fascinating after last year. Shamrocks will be too strong you'd think for Comer, and you'd fancy Clara against Lisdowney.

Thoughts and prayers go to Kilmacow and their great clubman who was taken ill at training on Friday. Please God he'll make a full recovery.

Kilmacow and Ballyragget Junior game is off today which I presume will see the Junior knockout championship being postponed next weekend.

The reason he's not playing is because he doesn't like the manager. He's letting that come before playing for his club.

So tell me what other reason would it be? Like I said I'd expect more from fogarty

I thought it was because he was sulking due to his big ego??

Listen lad, you seem like a fair and balanced enough poster on here and I’m not having a go at you, but there’s a lot more to this situation than you think.

I’m just saying nobody on here is in a position to question his motives on this or anything else and he certainly doesn’t deserve to be insulted on here by any genuine Kilkenny hurling folk.

Lads is it Tullogher and Gowran in the shield final as they said on kclr .Said it was score difference nut looking at table on kilkenny gaa they have Dunammagin second?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,841 ✭✭✭Speak Now

Tullogher were +1 better off on overall scoring distance so it should be them in shield.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20 kinghenry1

Yes thats what i thought so its Dunammagin against carrickshock so and moincoin against the Rower

Unless its a mini league between the 3 teams that tied, then Dunnamaggin would be better off. Im not sure of the rule it changed recent enough iirc.

Head to head if it's just 2 teams, score difference applies if 3 teams involved.

Re fogarty not hurling with comer god forbit a fella might take a summer off or year out from club hurling after putting his club first for 20 odd years and his county first for 12 odd years

If he doesn’t get on with the new comer management so be it he owes his club nothing how many times has he helped them climb out of the s**t over the years

Some of the stuff on here is bannanas

Anyone able to clear up the confusion about the intermidiate? Tullogher mooncoin dunnamaggin all same points. Noone knows who's playing who! 🤔

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,564 ✭✭✭Comerman

99% of the bullshit is started by one poster who went on to say well done to Comer for avoiding relegation territory (without Fogerty) 🙄 over the years there seems to be a very personal grudge against Fogerty but I wouldn't say he's losing sleep over it. Best of luck to him in whatever he chooses to do with himself.

I never thought the question I asked about Fogarty would turn into such a discussion here. I would have expected to see him with Comer this year as it was his 1st year away from county hurling.

Down deep South wouldn't be as well informed about him, he is dead right to take 1 year out of club hurling even if it's for not getting on with certain people.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,564 ✭✭✭Comerman

You asked a simple question to be fair but you'd have to go back a few years of posts to see one posters constant dislike of one of the best KK players

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 737 ✭✭✭Krazy gang

Fair enough. I have no skin in the game either. Doesn't bother me how comer go. I know conor fogarty has been a great servant for club and county and I have no axe to grind with him at all.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 201 ✭✭kentu

Yes I think it's a disgraceful way to talk about people for the effort they put in.

Dunnamaggin- Tullogher - Mooncoin its seems in that order.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 464 ✭✭jamesbond2022

Definetly a bit of a grudge there alright no need for it bad enough lads get stick on here when there actually hurling never mind not hurling

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23 nippy corner foward

Gowran shocks was a scrappy game. Two goals the difference and jamie power will be very dissapointed with at least one of them. Gowran as we know are dogged and have a strong half back line with carey and langton.. they also introduced a few young subs who were lively but the best man on the field was seamus farrell. A hardy bit of stuff and can win his own ball. A lad who definitely deserves a look at even tho he is around the 26 year old mark.he definitely is as good as some of the lads on the county panel. He is raw but definitely worth a look. These are the lads lyng needs to look at. Plenty of hurlers in the county need to start at junior and see whos goin well with the club

Hard to see who's going to beat the village or even seriously challenge them. They dealt easily enough with mooncoin today who would be one of the best equipped to challenge them.

Mooncoin and the rower looks a good game next week. Tullogher will likely be without wally for their clash with carrickshock, and maybe a few others too. St lachtains are having a terrible year, which is a surprise as would have expected them to kick on after winning the all ireland.

I'd have very little knowledge of Intermediate/ Junior hurling in Kilkenny but I was at the Leinster Junior final last December and been brutally honest I was shocked how poorly conditioned Freshford were, that game was basically a clash of styles, Freshford's hurling v Castletown's running game from their football background.

Condolences to all of lukes family. Absolutely shocking. May he rest in peace

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45 Takeyourpoints

Terrible news. Condolences to Luke's family and the whole Kilmacow community. A great underage hurler who some might remember managed to inspire Kilmacow in a minor A semi final back in 2010 or 2011. While I didn't see a whole lot of him in the last few years I know he was held in the highest regard by his club. Rest in peace Luke

Awful news. A massive loss to family and community for now and years to come, may he rest in peace. A staunch club man, always there through thick and thin and made a massive impact with the Black and Amber throughout his career. Tragic. RIP Luke

The Championship matches should start in the last 2 weeks in August with all teams guaranteed at least two games. If these dates were given out in January each year clubs can get parents to organise themselves. The Adult season is on in August and most parents are around anyway. There is a lot of interest in the shield matches especially when they are run properly by the Bord na Nog. You are probably from one of the city clubs who would normally never be in the shield competitions.
