Your one reckons womens rights are being eroded in this country.

Who mentioned gender neutral? Do you not want to answer my question?
I am guessing if a bathroom is gender neutral anyone can use it

Have a read if it's something you are interested in
    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gender_neutrality

It's been brought up several times in the conversation on liveline. Which is why I asked?

It means anyone can use it you numpty. Like the bathroom in your house. Or do you make men and women use different toilets in yours.

in my house it is used by one person at a time with no cubicles , and a lock on the door ? or is that unusual

Surely anyone can see the difficulties that this situation could pose.

    No, what are they?

  • Registered Users Posts: 32,405 ✭✭✭✭gmisk

Very true. Let's call a spade a spade; once it's a working rest room that is clean and tidy and hygienic and the door lock works then it's fit for purpose. Those who are worried about a perceived risk of assault may be shocked to know that things happen because of people and not because of the shape of a toilet bowl or the sticker on it's door.
    Exactly.
Not sure why it is such a big issue.

    Am I missing something?

She is talking about individual toilets.

Unisex is more both sexes mixing in the one communal area where toilets are..

Where are these? I have never came across it..

Jeez, I really love these dopes who can't see the difference between a private house and a school toilet.

Huge upheaval for a minute number of people.

Say 1% of people identify as gender neutral or whatever, why does everything have to change for the 99% who aren't affected.

Just build extra gender neutral toilets. Is that not the simple answer?

This gender neutral proposal is causing me great stress. If I am going to a school with gender neutral toilets , nobody would know whether I am 100% male, 100 % female or whatever. If I want everyone to know that I am 100% male this will now not be possible as the toilets will now be gender neutral so my right to express my 100% masculinity- expressed through my bodily functions- is being denied to me. I would be happier to add the gender neutral toilets to the current toilet setup so that there are three choices available to all
