    State employees skipping the queue like this should be fired, they knew well that the Beacon did not have permission to do this
    They were invited in by the Beacon (or its manager) so they might have assumed it was OK; you just can't say they knew the Beacon did not have permission. Agreed they were in the wrong, but a sacking offence? A good job we don't have the death penalty anymore. And if State employees deserve sacking for queue-jumping, then there might be more than a few sackings of HSE employees warranted. Do you really want that?

    And in reaction to those second shots given to the Coombe queue-jumpers:
    Even more maddening, skipping the queue twice!
    meaning I suppose that they should have been denied the second shots. Would you like the first shots go to waste, due to not being followed up as prescribed?

    Get a grip, folks.

    It’s not ideal but not giving them the second dose would have been cutting off our noses to spite our face. We can’t afford to waste vaccines.

    Never said not to give it to them? Just give them their own “cheaters” cohort way down the list, and the efficacy increases the longer between jabs. and maybe a civics refresher lesson too, they didn’t feel it was unfair or unethical at the time, so why should others, more in need loose out twice?

    How was this not obvious to everyone that this was going to happen. Those with a title will be entitled before those without. It's a fiefdom always has been. :pac:

    However still doesn't explain this situation. I like the teachers linked to me by the same links these teachers are linked to the ceo but I wouldn't be putting my job on the line for them. So the question still remains why was this school chosen and why these 20 teachers.

    Of all the people, family /friends you might put your job on the line for, why on earth would you pick teachers....no offense to any teachers reading:)

    Yeah agree. Its great getting tickets for the game or something. It's been the way since the hills. Life saving vaccine in a global pandemic with a vaccine that can literally kill people who don't get it? That's low. That's all.

    Stupid thing about him is he is 71 was getting it anyway but they sped it up because he was going in and out of the hospital.

    I should just go ahead and get mine if that is the case but that would not feel right

    Ha! I made the connection in a previous post that the vaccination of St Gerard's teachers was a symptom of a wider problem in Irish society - that a certain class of people think the rules do not apply to them, and you'll get away with most things with either a wink and nudge or by getting one of the big law firms to represent you, similar to the behaviour in the Davys case.

    I didn't expect there to be such an obvious crossover between the two situations so soon.

    My question here would be what year group his kids are in? If it's that one of his kids is sitting the leaving cert this year and receiving calculated grades from these teachers then that's the integrity of the grades given brought in disrepute.
