Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Cochabamba (BOL) - I unironically appreciate the absolute minimum amount of effort that went into it!
Buenos Aires City (ARG) - BIRDS
Huancavelica (PER) - looks European somehow*, but "meh" tier European
Salto (URU) - too wordy, ain't nobody got time to read a damn flag.

*afterthought; that "somehow" is most likely "brutal colonialism". Ah well.

Quick cameo, hope you've all missed me :p

Buenos Aires City - look at the baby evil birds!
Cochabamba - I kind of admire the attitude that leads to a flag like this
Salto - bit busy but I like the waterfall
Huancavelica - the closer you look, the shïtter it is

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,665 ✭✭✭SineadSpears

1: Buenos - actually think this is really cool looking, even if it is a bit simple in colour

2: Salto - like the navy. Not overly mad on the white stripes. I do like them, but I think two or three stripes less would have been better looking. I like the crest too.
So close to being a really great flag

3: Huancavelica - love the crest but not a fan of the blue. Does nothing for the crest

    4: Cochabamba - :o is all i can say..

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,399 ✭✭✭✭Electric Nitwit

Agreed, massively overrated and Seven Nation Army is annoyingly overplayed :D

I think you may have realised this by now but I'll say it anyway. I sometimes have to use a different style of flag when white is a major component of the banner as it doesn't show up well otherwise. This isn't an attempt to curry favour or isn't just random, just a necessity. I'd love to use just the silky ones but they're not all available.

Oh wow is the Buenos Aires one on an actual silk flag rather than just a white backround!? Ah even better if it is. I'm off to Google that in a min..

This madness. As of these votes, all four flags are even. 10 points each.

    4: Quindío- bit rasta looking

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 7,265 Mod ✭✭✭✭cdeb

The Neembucu flag looks cool, but it's just excessive wavy effect. It's really a tricolour.

So Lima the only interesting one here.

Then Quindio, Caldas, and Neembucu last for cheating me into thinking it was more interesting than it really is

Again, that's just because the wiki database that has all the flags doesn't up the white very well. If I use it, it deceptively looks like a two striper.

Jujuy (ARG) - Why are they shaking hands in front of a hat on a stick while the sun watches creepily? And do we even care? It looks nice!

Cotopaxi (ECU) - Simple but effective. Also Cotopaxi is a big volcano so the flag perfectly captures the two core elements; things that are lava (red) and things that are not lava (blue)

Rio de Janeiro (BRA) - the colours kinda remind me of Bavaria, which makes me want beer. I don't have beer. I am now sad and blame this flag for my troubles.

Guyana - it's just a bit....loud. And has no birds or hat on stick to impress me.

Rio de Janeiro (BRA) I like these two distinctive yet classy

1: Rio - the light blue works here & its a really nice flag

2: Jujuy - as much as I like the silk flags, I'm not even that keen on this. The Smurf hat bothers me

3: Guyana - doesn't look great in the picture but I imagine as a flag, it might look better in the flesh

4: Cotopaxi - its two colours..
