That kid that plays Lily on Modern Family is atrocious. She is so bad that it's funny.

Do you remember when Oisin was a kid in Fair City?

    Nicholas Cage.

Brilliant in Raising Arizona. Utterly awful in pretty much everything else he’s ever been in.

Actors who’ve stopped acting. Like De Niro. He just comes over, does his Italian gangster shtick and leaves.

    Charlton Heston

He starred in loads of good films but he has only one facial expression - constipated.

John Wayne, wooden and typecast, never understood his popularity.

Keanu Reeves in Dangerous Liasions; not helped by the fact he’s surrounded by top of their respective games Glenn Close, John Malkovich, and Michelle Pfeiffer amongst others (incl. Peter Capaldi, best known as Malcom Tucker). It’s a fantastic film with some very fine performances, which is occasionally interrupted by Keanu in full-on Bill & Ted mode.

Didn't take long for the thread to descend to the ridiculous. Nick is an oscar winner, and was nominated in another year.

Should have won an oscar for Con Air:):)

I've never figured out Colm Meanys appeal albeit I've not seen him in anything in recent years, perhaps that in itself says it all. Some pretty dreadful performances in equally dreadful films but whilst not a film, his performances generally in Star Trek Deep space nine was just appalling where he played the token Irish character chief O Brien, just awful cringe enducing stuff. Seems the snapper was pretty much a one hit wonder.

Cameron Diaz is a really bad actress. She has had the odd decent performance but has the ability to single handedly ruin a movie with her "acting".

    Cocaine's a helluva drug.

Cage is a good actor whose early career proves this, it's simply that (IIRC) he has had financial and tax issues that necessitated him saying yes to pretty much any job that crossed his desk. But unlike similar Z-movie, former stars like Bruce Willis, rather than act like it's all beneath him, Cage just goes for broke and channels some crazy energy.

    Casper Van Dien.

Won't hear a bad word about Nic Cage though. No matter how low he sinks, he really gives it his all. So many terrible movies that are strangely compelling due to his unhinged performance.

Can't remember the name but watched one recently where his dead wife was reincarnated in his girlfriend's teenage daughters body. It was so unbelivably awful, yet brilliant, due to his unhinged performance.

Luke was atrocious. I thought the same of the girl who played Lily, especially at the beginning, but I recently watched it all again from start to finish, I grew to dislike her less as it went on, thought she was doing ok by the end.

That reminds me of a quote attributed to John Gielgud:
"You can be good in a good movie, you can be good in a bad movie, you can be bad in a bad movie, but never, ever, be bad in a good movie."

"To follow knowledge like a sinking star..." (Tennyson's Ulysses)

In a show that has a long list of bad actors she’s by far the worst. You’d think after all this time she’d get used to it and would stop laugh-talking.

Kat Dennings started off as that quirky-cool-awkward character and just seems to live it now. Not sure if she’s just half arsíng it now because she’s sick and tired of the roles being same but it’s become so self aware (as per Wandavision).

The “breaking” is deliberate, they do it on SNL as well*

Sh1te shows do it a lot

*was mentioned on an episode of 30 Rock

Julia Roberts. Can look like she is trying to figure out why she is there?
Reese Witherspoon. Almost always too intense bit like like Tom Cruise?

Nah, Meaney is a fine actor. He did a scene in DS9 as "Smiley" in the alternate universe, where he wishes for the life in the other universe, as anything would be better than this, and it was just fabulous acting. There were plenty of bad actors in DS9, but Meaney wasn't one of them. He was also great as Gene in Layer Cake.

re: Cage - he's a superb actor who appears in a lot of bad movies. Ethan Hawke described him as “the only actor since Marlon Brando that’s actually done anything new with the art of acting”. No matter how sh1t a movie is, Cage generally improves it.

getting back to the question, the correct answer is Arnie - he can't act for toffee, but he's always entertaining.

Harrison Ford has two expressions - frown and point his finger or sideways grin. His movies are always about his wife or his family in danger.

Michael Douglas never made a movie where he doesn't have a shower scene or a white bathrobe or he doesn't slick his hair back.

Tom Cruise - surprise or a grin or he runs manically.

After scores of movies actors become parodies of themselves

I knew Jenny slightly, a long time ago, when we were both young actors. She had talent, but getting drawn into the BOC world did her no favours. You need to be a superb actor to rise above scripts that bad.

If you can't see his face it's been a body double since the turn of the millennium.

I know it's nowhere near Hollywood levels but Keith Duffy in Coronation Street. He just played himself and kept looking at the camera.

Andie MacDowell. She is just blessed she picked great comedies in Four Weddings and Groundhog Day.

I find Julia Roberts - whilst a stunningly beautiful woman, somewhat annoying to watch as an actress. I don't see her as a character in all her movies, rather just Hollywood celeb - Julie Roberts. She does the same quirky traits in every movie she's in.

Also I can't watch a movie with Kiera Knightly.

I think Nic Cage has very been good in too many movies to be called a bad actor to be honest. I can easily see why people would jump to him so quickly.

Hayden Christiansen - terrible from his first scene in Star Wars.

Is the betting without Nicolas Cage. Only good film i have seen him in is On frozen ground. Other than that shocking.
