Lol. Even a page with common Q and As would probably help to stop alot of people ringing in.I'd say the line is jammed with people ringing to get their cert just for indoor dining!

This doesn't seem to be on my Covid Tracker App, all i get is users who have checked in today, the number of vaccinations, cases and deaths, daily confirmed cases, the national picture, hospital and icu info but no mention of a covid digital cert at all on app.

Yes, except the formatting on the PDF version is a bit off meaning that the folds aren't in the right place. At leat it was on mine, maybe they've fixed it in the meantime.

How do I do that, there's a tab called updates but that just shows current info, there seems to be no way to update it, do I delete it and install it again.

I just went to the App Store and found the update there. I’m not at all tech savvy so don’t know if there’s another way. 😊

Supposed to be travelling with work next week

Called the line the helpline at 8.40 this morning. Didn't get the "90 minute" warning so thought things mightn't be too bad.

Around 10am the 90minute warning starts playing - so somehow I've moved back in the queue. Currently at 4hours 38 min wait time.

Accenture don't seem to have a great call waiting system in place

How long does it take to receive the certificate after you have received the second dose ?

I got mine in one of the centres so they have my email address.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 66 ✭✭Chickennuggets

HCW here, was vaccinated in early january and still nothing. Few of my colleagues got them through email and a few through the post.

A handful have yet to receive them. Apparently a large amount have been sent to Tipperary in error due to do an "IT glitch" that caused the county to be auto filled as Tipperary. Traveling in one week so might start ringing the line. Looks like I'll be on the line for a few hours at least....

I am hoping that I am not the only one who was vaccinated in a GPS office thats still waiting for theirs. Was done in May. Only planning to travel to London so the paper card should do but still

It's annoying to think that the few extra seconds it would have taken to check that details have been entered correctly are now costing individuals on average 4 of time, plus all the call centre related costs. A classic example of "pay now or pay later".

For those who received vaccines from pharmacists/GPs. Was there a facility whereby an email address could be provided to them and they could pass it further up the chain with vaccination details. Or did the HSE not support email address capture for GPs/Pharmacists?

When I contacted Boots I was informed my details which were on their system from application of the vaccine was passed onto the HSE. Both my email and home address were on the system with Boots.

Still no cert, 2 and half weeks on.

    ⚠️ DO NOT USE THAT LINK!⚠️ 👆

The domain is misspelled and .org and is registered to:

    Name: irishcovidcertifcateportal.org (Certifcate ?!?!)

    Registrant:

    Organization: Domains By Proxy, LLC

    Mailing Address: Arizona

    ISO-3166 Code: US

I don't care what's being said on Twitter etc, it looks like a scam site. They can be very sophisticated. Do not put your information in until this is clarified.

At best this is a nasty phishing exercise, at worst, if it is a genuinely government site, it's shockingly incompetent.

I heard that restaurants will have an APP to scan DCC. The app will just display a green/red light, and it won't store any info like dob.

So everyone can just share their DCC for restaurants?

https://irishcovidcertifcateportal.org/ notice the spelling mistake in this URL

https://irishcovidcertificateportal.org/ some guys were quick to register the correctly spelled URL

There's an EU-wide system. It checks the authenticity of the certificate by sending a key. Your data isn't stored anywhere other than at the Department of Health. The app would just send the key and nothing else.

Basically the app will send the key and the database will respond: Valid ✅ or Not recognised ❌

Your data is actually contained on the certificate though - as per how it's printed i.e. Name, DOB and vaccine type, date etc.

It doesn't contain your PPSN, address, email or anything like that.

The misspelled site is the one that the gov.ie website links to - so if it's a phishing scam, they've already infiltrated the official government website!

Since Accenture are managing the phone helpline, would they have helped to register the website too - hence Arizona?

    It’s the real link.

if was a typo, it’s been clarified multiple times

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 745 ✭✭✭ClosedAccountFuzzy

I’ve no idea who’s managing it but in an environment where phishing is very serious issue, and an organisation that has just been almost demolished by a targeted cyber attack, and when you’re asking people for personal data in a very public campaign that’s likely to be targeted by phishing scams, you DO NOT set up a flakey looking site on a weird domain with typos in it.

    It's beyond a joke.

At the very least, it should be on *.gov.ie or *.hse.ie

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 745 ✭✭✭ClosedAccountFuzzy

The site should be pulled and moved.

    Clarification on Twitter ? *lol*

Saying that the public should be having to deal with crap like this in the middle of what is already a very chaotic mess of a system is just not good enough.

It also says a lot about the attention to detail on IT systems. Hardly surprising they were wiped out by a cyber attack if that’s the level of focus they have.

You should be able to print it off and use that.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 745 ✭✭✭ClosedAccountFuzzy

You can definitely just print it. That’s the whole point of the QR code & database for validation.

Store the PDF somewhere it won’t get deleted though. Back up to cloud / keep in your email, as there’s no portal to download again if it goes missing.

Does anyone here know what ID will be accepted with a Covid Cert? I have all three, PSC, Passport and Licence. If its only Licence or Passport accepted a lot of People might not have these.

Has anyone received a recovery cert yet?

I rang up their hotline and waited 40 minutes, as they got my date of birth wrong.

After 40 minutes, I heard a voice - picked up the phone and said, 'Sorry, can you repeat that please?', and 5 seconds later the b** hung up.

Tried ringing again today, 75 minutes later - nothing, still waiting.

What stupid people run this country?

The current guidelines say passport license or others that will be recommended with the regulations.

I assume the age card is also an option as bars are pretty familiar with it already. People could get one of those for fairly cheap if they didn't have the other 2. I've never worked in a bar that took the public service card but it wouldn't shock me if the govt recommended it it, they are trying to make it the unofficial national identity card :D
