I haven't worn a watch in over ten years, have no need just glance at my phone for the time.

But been thinking lately about treating myself to a fancy one for old times sake, a TAG Heuer maybe

    are watches naff?

    I've no time for watches.

I treated myself to an Apple Watch for Christmas. Love it. Before that I had a nice wristwatch that is now “held” in a safe as it is worth quite a bit of money.

    The tide is turning…

I've worn watches most of my life, feels weird not wearing them. Was lucky enough to win an Apple watch about a year and a bit ago and it's very useful over all.

Gave it up for years until I got a smartwatch couple of years ago. Like to keep track of how much I'm walking and it is actually handier to check your wrist than pull out your phone.

I have a few watches with one or two particularly nice ones, I however wear a beaten up Samsung Gear all the time now

I’ve only gotten into watches since the first lockdown. Since then I’ve bought and sold 4 watches.

I never leave the house without a watch on.

Apple watch. Would never wear a normal watch, fairly pointless.

I wear an Apple Watch everyday. It’s handy for tracking steps/exercise and paying for things!

Well 1 and a half really.

I would say there has been a watch on my wrist 99.9% of days since I was about 10.

Tried a few times over the years but just don't like wearing extra things.

I voted yes but it's a fitbit smartwatch, so not sure if that counts.

So when does this get moved to the Apple lovers forum...

Just my Garmin Fenix myself. Have a nice collection of Tag's from before my fitness midlife crisis and I will be hopefully handing them onto my son's in years to come... of course they won't appreciate them and will want a poxy Apple watch no doubt

No. I haven't worn a watch in over 20 years.

I could never get use to the feel of them

    huh?
Personally, I want a watch, not a smart phone I need to charge constantly,
I have a smart phone for that. Id consider a watch with a digital face I could change the look of, but really I prefer a watch to be a watch.
My son was given a fitbit against my wishes, got bored of charging it I think, he doesn't need those features imo,
This morning he put on the cheap and cheerful Casio F-91W I got him for Xmas and was happy with it.

Ive a few watches, usually wear a cheap casio to work for a few reasons

each to their own, but I dont understand the interest in smart watches myself

Not wearing a watch feels incredibly odd to me.

I have a garmin running watch on most of the time as it’s handy for recording exercise.

My preference though be for a big chunky Casio G Shock.

I like feel a weight on my arm.

I know we all have smartphones these days but I couldn’t be without a watch on.

I have a small fitness tracker watch. I'm not keen on having something around my wrist. I wouldn't be able to deal with a large watch. So don't be bothering buy me a rolex for my birthday this year folks.

Yeah I'm also another one in the 'feels weird without a watch' camp - I find myself looking at a blank wrist constantly when I don't have one on!

Really don't like relying on a phone. As soon as I look at one for the time, I then see all those other notifications and before you know it, you're sucked into reading messages etc.

Wouldn't feel dressed without one. Smartphones need charging regularly your watch tells time for years!

    Constantly wear a swatch watch.
Black , no frills and no fear of breaking it futering about. When the strap broke I was completely lost without it till I got another strap ( for 2.50 )
    Have another 'going out' watch.
