I can almost see Donny's tiny hands clenched up in a fist.

By the by, I am starting to think there may be a conviction in the Senate.

Without twitter, Donny is completely neutered. I can imagine a lot of Reps waking up wondering why the **** he had them quaking in their boots.

I bet McConnell senses blood in the water. Here's his chance to finish trump off.

Any idea who is covered by the phrase "Federal workforce"?

It would be in the GOP's best interests to convict, and thus eliminate the prospect of a 2024 run.

if he is convicted, can he face any form of sentence that beyond losing post-presidential benefits?

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

As far as I am aware, no as in if convicted by the Senate he wouldn't face jail time*. He would lose any benefits however, such as the pension etc if convicted by the Senate, and he wouldn't be able to run again for office.

While simultaneously bit*hing and moaning about 'the socialists'.

That lady Jenna Ryan did the same thing. Flew to Washington talking on Twitter about fighting to ensure the democrats didn't steal the election. Catalogued every move she made on social media. Begged Trump for a pardon, and now is asking for donations to fight her legal battles.

And there is no hope of him being able to raise anywhere close to the same funds again.

Part of the rationale for people sending funding was they were of the belief that the court cases could turn the election result around.

But Trump is now gone, Biden is sworn in. There is little reason to continue to send him money.

I don't for a second think that some people won't, just nothing of the levels previously.

The way he grifted and threw them under the bus was classic trump.
The only people left fighting his corner are the mentally challenged or just admired his opinions on how certain people should be treated because of who they are. He might get a couple of quid out of them but if they are stupid or twisted enough to do so, that's their issue.

Trump supporters - the media has a bias towards Biden.

The Mar a Lago stuff is a nonsense. Worst case scenario for Trump is he'll be sued. That'll take a few years. Eventually he'll lose. Then he'll appeal again. He'll be too old/senile/dead before he'd actually have to leave.

His more pressing agenda is the NY STate financial fraud case. And finding defense counsel.

More pressing than that might be this new revelation. DOJ officials threatened mass resignations if Acting AG Rosen was fired to further Trumps attempt to overthrow the election

Not seeing any reason why they couldn’t indict him right now though.

I don't think this is the end of the Trumps as a political force. After the farce of a Corona virus response, his electoral college numbers were still the same as Hillary.
People have short memories, and it wouldn't shock me to see it swing back towards Trump if he ran again in 2024 (health permitting). Or maybe one of his children in a later election.
It is American politics after all.

Trump is ironically the Hilary of the Republicans now. The people who hate his and his families guts will turn out just to vote against him. Those people will have very long memories.

Another article to his impeachment right there.

No point in asking. You'll either get silence or a load of conspiracy QAnon claptrap about Dominion machines flipping votes or millions of dead people voting or massive dumps of votes in the middle of the night etc. All without a shred of evidence or proof. It's very predictable at this stage.

Yeah, but that was before the refusal to accept the result and the storming of the Capitol. That's what will have pushed peope away.

All this supposed evidence does not matter to Trumpists. Trumpists had made their minds up a long time ago that the election would be rigged. The only reason they even cobble together any kind of 'evidence' at all is a procedural one, i.e. they need something to bring to court, and they need to bring it to court to give the appearance to Trump supporters that something is being done about this alleged election theft. That the court threw the cases out doesn't matter, because that's the other side engaging in a grand conspiracy to deny Trump a 2nd term.

Well, he's sitting in the Oval Office now, whereas you're not, so he kinda did win more than you did.

The abject stupidity of posts like this is off the scale.

"The election wasn't fair because I didn't get the result I want". Funny how Trump's claims in 2016 were just forgotten about.

It's scary that this sort of thinking persists in the 21st century.

We sat again for an hour and a half discussing maps and figures and always getting back to that most damnable creation of the perverted ingenuity of man - the County of Tyrone.

There were a lot of irregularities in that election..
Between keeping people out of the count and covering the windows to the sudden vote jumps to the lowest number of counties to the highest vote ever..

It's fine if you don't believe it.. yeah, he's in the white house now.. But 'the most transparent election ever' is all just part of the big lie.. You all accept it because you've been conditioned to hate trump for the last four years..

    But yeah..
