That seems very expensive, can I ask what card you used as you're being charged a lot? It should be only 129 rupees which is euro1.45. Argentina is 1.15 for same.

Mine is €1.97 done in rupees through my Ulster Bank card which on reflection was a stupid thing to do. Think I'll start again having just moved to Argentina don't ya know... Will pay with revolut this time around.

They must be adding on a flat fee to the conversion.
    1 year your way = 23.64
1 year Arg with Revolut is 13.80

It's only a tenner but it annoys me that the majority of the different isn't youtube getting it but the bank. At least change your payment method in youtube etc to revolut.

That's a good idea. To change to Argentina, do I need to cancel, let it lapse and rejoin?

Nope, you can cancel. Then open VPN and resub straight away. It will automatically pick up you have an active sub until whenever and will setup the 1st payment date as whenever the sub expires from India

AIB debit. Might actually change payment method to Revolut.

AIB charge 1.75% but a minimum of 45c. So you're paying AIB a fortune. 40-50% mark up for AIB on this one.
The only time this is unavoidable is Netflix Turkey etc when they don't like revolut etc.

She could have rounded it up to the €.
    Women eh:rolleyes:

Incidentally, €2.15 charged today (I'm sick that shmeee is getting it for 1c less). Initially got a Revolut 'we have frozen your card' notification, no doubt because of the rupee transaction. Didn't take YT long to send their 'we didn't receive your money' notification either. Authorised payment and all good in minutes.

Just back to thank the OP and anyone else guiding people in this thread.
I started the process last month, free month up today and my Revolut has just been debited by €1.12 for my Argentinian YT Premium sub. Perfect.

Now, does anyone know how I get home from Argentinia .......
