Dillane and Beirne are the form 2nd row pairing in Ireland right now

Something clearly not right with my tg4 stream - Connacht at Munster's line and then it goes to an ad...

Scraped over the line in the end.

2 extra men. Why are you keeping it tight where Munster had numbers? They have to be down numbers out wide. I dunno.

Shocking decision making at the end there

TG4 ffs!!!!! On the player and cut to a Fairy ad with Connaught on the Munster line!!!!

Just brilliant effort from both teams in the last 15 mins.

Ultimately the international backrow & Beirne were the difference.
    I thought Coombes was decent

Connacht messed that up big time

Connacht should have gone wide, very poor decision making given the numerical advantage they had. We’ll take this win at the sportsground. As usual Connacht are very worthy opponents

    WTF are TG4 at?

player Cuts to Vogue and a persil ad about 3 plays after that scrum!!

2 men up and they've Carty trying to grunt it against forwards. Weird decision.

Were Porch and POM having words at the end there?

Would have been a robbery but butchered it at the end! Made no sense to keep it tight.

Daly and Dillane were the standout players for Connacht. Beirne, Coombes and Farrell for Munster. Really enjoyed that game, seriously physical, very entertaining.

Criminal not to go wide but still think it would've been daylight robbery to win that.

Great running by Dillane on 82 mins.

What are they doing in the Hyacinth House?

Yeah they needed a cool head for that scrum.
    Probably just knackered!!

Not trying to niggle but that is one of the thickest decisions you'll see in rugby.

Have to give it to Connacht for sticking in there until the end

Should have made the most of the advantage for sure but it was 8 v 7 in the scrum but no one on eir seems to have been watching. Stander had joined the backline.

Anyway Munster deserved to win were very good at slowing he ball down and we just never looked like doing much

Not a bad weekend of Provincial rugby. The four teams are looking strong.

Pity it looks like there won't be any other rugby for some time.

Have to laugh at people saying Eir are a disaster and TG4 are the only way to go.

    It's all Irish broadcasters.

We didn't deserve to win it but we could have. Brain-dead from Boyle at the end there. Huge potential but needs to cool his jets and think with a calmer head.

Not for the first time for Connacht this season, that lost LBP in the European match a while ago was the same. Just dim.

Why did Munster not have to play their scrum there. I thought the ball had to go out of play to finish the game. Has that rule changed recently?

  • Registered Users Posts: 17,321 ✭✭✭✭Utopia Parkway

Boyle pick up from 8 followed by crash ball from Carty a few phases later wasn’t ideal decision making.

  • Registered Users Posts: 388 ✭✭Tommybojangles

Horrific from Boyle especially at the end, on a par with the clusterf*** of not taking the 3 at the end against Bristol.

But we should never have been that close, really poor, clueless in attack and absolutely bullied physically for 75 minutes. Baltic conditions and Munster not taking too many chances probably kept us in it

Delighted to see Tom Daly back on form, he was good at U20

Second stupid late decision from Boyle in the last few weeks. Great player for us but those mistakes are awful.

  • Registered Users Posts: 17,321 ✭✭✭✭Utopia Parkway

The pick up from 8 might not have been too bad if he got the ball away to Marmion. But he picked it up and got swallowed up immediately behind the gain line.

Changed a couple of years ago. Unless its a penalty then its the final whistle.
