    Crucible.
The pinnacle of snooker, atmosphere and history of the venue trumps to poor facilities and cramped conditions.
The memphis pyramid is a multi purpose arena as opposed to a sporting venue.

St Andrews. A lot of history has happened there, a lot of legends have played there and definitely be somewhere to visit

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,969 ✭✭✭✭alchemist33

The setting of the pool doesn't do enough to offset the history of St Andrews so I'm voting for another golf course. And I don't even play golf

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,361 ✭✭✭✭Kolido

The golf for me, world famous venue. Cant believe 2 olympic swimming pool venues made it this far

The views over Montjuic are fantastic. You can count the Gaudi monuments in view. St Andrews is a classic venue, but Montjuic's uniqueness pips it for me

St Andrew's, more history there than and other venue in the tournament.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,035 ✭✭✭BrianBoru00

    St. Andrews.
Far more iconic than the pool
more atmosphere on a golf course than an open air pool.
    more history.

    no contest

The pool for me. Those views are utterly spectacular, and I do love an outdoor swimming pool!!

St Andrews, deservedly so, has the history and world renown.
But Montjuïc has more to offer, a fabulous city, views, Olympic pedigree.
    Montjuïc gets my vote here

    Camp Nou

    MCG for me.

More interesting and varied history of use than just a football stadium.

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,969 ✭✭✭✭alchemist33

MCG. Imagine the place full during an Ashes game. The Camp Nou is great and storied too but those steep stands in Melbourne... I'd just love to be there.

    Camp Nou.
A stadium that deserves its place amongst the famous sports venues of the world.
Its hosted the greats of soccer, close to 100k capacity, cool city, great club
