    Thanks

Seen the 50" 8535 in Tesco today down to €545, but no 43" unfortunately! They had the 43" in DID Electrical before Christmas, maybe try there..

I saw a 43 in Currys just before Xmas too, not sure what model it was though. iirc he said it was 439

Got the 43" in DID for €499 in the post Christmas sales. Didn't seem to have many in stock though

    is €499 a bargain?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,225 ✭✭✭JCDUB

I gave up on Amazon about ten days before Xmas and got the 55" from richer sounds, with a 6 year warranty, for €589.

    Great TV, highly recommended.
Picture is no oled, but coming from a basic 32", it's like I'm in the cinema.

Just the plug, and everything you watch will be subtitled or badly dubbed.

Just looking at the PHILIPS 50PUS7855 50" for 499e. Is this considered a good price?

Looking for a decent 50" or bigger if anyone knows about a good deal/price.
    Thanks.

Hey folks. Dialogue is great! I sent an email to Richer Sounds in Belfast about needing a new telly, about 50 inch, ambilight, smart, etc etc. No problem with an open box if any around.

Chris replied with some options and also an open box set with full 6 year warranty, delivered to Dublin. I ordered it on the Friday, and it appeared at my front door on Wednesday. No brexit hassles or issues whatsoever.

    430 euro.

    Happy with that.

Fantastic TV. I hope you get one, I have an eye out for one for my folks

Weirdly tho, I get phantom sounds, about 10 secs of audio from the hdmi source when the tv is off every few days. Hearing someone talking, or classical music blaring in the middle of the night is a new experience.

It is always worth contacting them and asking any deals going. Got it delivered to my front door in Dublin, with 6 yr warranty, open box, somebody bought it then decided they wanted bigger again.

389 sterling and got hit for 442 euro

No idea. I rang them for a deal and that is what I got. They are in business a long time both sides of the border. I am sure they sorted it out correctly . I am guessing they may have exported it vat free from the uk and put irish vat on it in their books. I cannot be sure.
They are a professional crowd so am sure they are set up properly.

They also have a talkto forum here on boards. Ask them what they have at present.

Quite simply, ask them. Maybe go to their talkto here on boards. Tell them what you want and see what they say. The 6 year warranty is worth a lot on its own.

This TV was €499 in DID on Black Friday. Surprised its been reverted to original price again, especially given its January.
