“I don't take responsibility at all”

    Biden literally tweeted today.

"I'm not going to shut down the country.
I'm not going to shut down the economy.
I'm going to shut down the virus."

Do you ever tire of being wrong?

That's fine but he is back peddling. I have heard him say complete lockdown and mandatory masks. We have all heard him say this.

They’ve started doing lockdowns. You just saying things doesn’t make them real.

That's the first I have heard of that but it does not invalidate my point, they are doing well so far without having had lockdowns.

They are 17th in the world for deaths per 1 million. Above many many countries who have had complete lockdowns but without the economic fallout. This lockdown business is new to us all, none of us know what is coming next year as a result. Perhaps business as usual? Or perhaps recession. I'd be willing to bet that it will be the latter and countries that have shown a willingness to suffer a bloody nose to help shield their economies will be the winners in the long run. That may sound harsh but people like Donald Trump were put in their position to make harsh decisions. Joe Biden has shown nothing but fear when it comes to Covid.

Just to be clear when you say 17th in the world what do you mean? Are they the 17th worst?

And Trump said the virus would go from 15 to 0 cases.
It's now 9 million cases and 230 THOUSAND deaths.

    What's wrong with mandatory masks?

The US was always going to have a huge number of cases for a variety of reasons. I have gone into these reasons in the past and will not be going into them now but it is basic mathematics and logic. It is hard to tell for sure weather his handling of the pandemic will be a success, time will tell but I believe he will prevail. A complete lock down as Biden proposes would be a disaster for the US and the world. Trump has handled it exactly the way I would have, by balancing heard immunity with the economy. He has made difficult decisions and shown leadership and resolve.

A position of authority endorsing the use of ingesting bleach being one of them.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

    Deaths per million:

    Denmark: 124
    Finland: 65
    Norway: 52

    Sweden: 587

    USA: 708

So not the best person for the job but a case of any Trump will do?

Sounds too close to a monarchy or familial dictatorship for my liking.

Thats what ye want. Something to watch on TV.

    The US are 10th.
    https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/

And I'm not sure I'd count San Marino and Andorra.

With the exception of Belgium and Spain, they have had more deaths per capita than every other first-world developed country on the planet.

US - no lockdowns, no masks, 708 deaths per million.
Germamy - moderate lockdowns, mandatory masks, 120 deaths per million.
(That's them down at no. 72)
    And no economic fallout.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

Sweden are doing great, you should probably let the government know about that too

Basically you think high death rates and out of control virus spread is "doing great". What a warped viewpoint.

17th, you may be filtering your results on the wrong criteria. I am talking about deaths per 1 million

He’s talking about Sweden. He thinks America should try to be 17th worst instead of 10th worst. That’s the height of his ambition about 200th is good enough.

I provided links to the data, screenshots & information on filtering criteria, Sweden are 17th.

very interesting Biden numbers down in florida.
de Cuban vote could be interesting.

The guy has a Trump book on his desk, a Marine Le Pen sign on the wall behind him and the comments section is full of people talking about being Red Pilled.

(It's probably not an objective source of information)

Half full, half empty, look at it whatever way you want. I am on Team Trump, positivity is my motto.

Ah, fair point. But not exactly a useful metric. A lot of Swedes socially distanced and stayed at home voluntarily and are by and large responsible. Americans, not so much.

As I said: Germany - moderate lockdown, mandatory masks, no economic fallout and 72nd.

Half full half empty would be relevant for being mid table. You type 17th in the world as if that’s good when in fact it’s terrible.

Look at San Marino. Every country is different for a multitude of reasons. There is too much at play to put the blame on Trump. The virus is going to spread no matter what, it is nature at work. People claiming to care about Corona virus and its effects are the same people weaponizing it to attack Trump.

You have missed my point. Complete lockdowns do not necessarily work better than heard immunity strategy's.

It's not us that have to be convinced.

It's the majority of the US electorate that look like they're about to vote for Biden in no small part as a result of Trumps inability or unwillingness to address the pandemic.

Landslide territory here for Biden if this holds up.
