In the same way we can’t keep someone onside as a defender because of your elbow.

I don't think that's ever been said or written in the rules?

Definitely a big impact on the game. But it’s not given and the game plays out and VAR doesn’t get anything else wrong.

Liverpool need to get used to been challenged week in week out now as champions.

I suppose you can ignore the most significant mistake incident that happened, and the incident that could have had the biggest impact on it if that’s how you want to read it. Another way of doing it is to accept that it was a colossal mistake arsing from a system failure of VAR. It’s
Like saying we would have drawn the game had we not conceded that goal. So it’s a draw.

That's not offside under any circumstances. You don't need lines to know it's not offside.

VAR is not improving the game, but we all knew that before it came in.

I clearly said that call was wrong? I just said after that VAR was ok it wasn’t a game full of VAR.

I know. And it's clear the far defenders foot is playing Mane onside. I don't see how you can draw a line down from the top of manes shoulder and have the beyond the yellow line.

The rule is set by the position of the arm, VAR make the lines from that position. They called it off based on the laws of the game

If you're going to post shítty pictures for cheap thanks whoring from your tribe, would you not even learn how to find the URL of an image instead of screenshotting a whole page?

At least crop it, ffs. It's 2020.

If there's a problem report it or are you the bossman here?

And then you repost it :pac:

You sure what's written is for the defender as well? That one today looks like it's coming from the defenders foot?

From the still it looks like the upper arm of Mane is the most nearest to goal than any part of the Everton’s players body.

It’s a really fine line but the defender is entitled to the same level of fairness

Getting used to being top of the table and getting decisions.

    Feels good.

It is not that clear is it. You, me, we are looking at a picture without accounting for the angle of the camera. The tech used will have to account for that.

That in its own right is one of the reasons the offside rule and VAR use needs consideration in how best utilised together. It has merit but must be easily understood by all, from managers and players to people at home.

As a Liverpool fan it just makes no sense to me that another team would get the VAR decisions

I think it's based on the table. It's the only thing that makes sense

I just hate VAR. Everything about it. And anytime I bring it up people defend it.

I don't get it. This is worse

On the plus side, this Thiago chap we picked up for £20m who made his first start in the PL today looks decent

Klopp said he could miss a few games after the red card tackle.

Just saw Pickford tackle now. Despite the offside, surely he can be sent off. Didnt mcclean win a free before being given the second yellow against Wales?

Very good play by Werner for Chelsea there to score just after his own offside goal. Southampton players running into each other in the box didn't help them.

Inevitable he would score v Hasenhuttl's team.

Yes, referee made a mess of it.

He should get a retrospective red now because the referee didn't deal with it.

It would be great to see everton do a leicester this year, it might seem a nuts idea but it is 2020 after all

Technically that would be in 2021 if they were to win it and we really don’t want 2021 to be as bad as 2020.

If you ignore the stupid lines you can see Mane is offside, not by a lot but he is offside.
