    Clearly off IMO, good decision

Rubbish call. Either VAR or the offside rule need adjusting because the two are out of touch with each other

If the off is off it’s off. The defender is as much entitled to a fair line as the attacker.

Pickford call the only poor one

Yes, but it was the only one that really mattered. 10 men with 85 mins left and a penalty. Game over

I just can't see from the lines how he's off.

Maybe they've something else up there in the var room.

    Tough to take.

Shocking officiating. Seems like all are against Le Champions retaining the title. I think this can be considered a decent result if Everton haven’t succeeded in their game plan to cause a long term injury to a Liverpool player.

If Everton keep that up I could see them challenging the likes of Arsenal and Wolves for a Europa league spot.

    Love to see it

No VVD no Allison, best Everton side in years and VAR assisting still can't beat Liverpool.

Tbf to Everton they will be a long way ahead of Arsenal at the end of the season.

I'd have taken it beforehand. Thank christ we only have to go and play there once a year

DCL is turning into a machine. His hold up play and ability in the air is brilliant this season

His leap for the goal was unreal. He's some player

I'd have taken it pre game too. Absolutely

Maybe I'm wrong but that red line looks to be drawn from Manes elbow.

Definitely a big impact on the game. But it’s not given and the game plays out and VAR doesn’t get anything else wrong.

Liverpool need to get used to been challenged week in week out now as champions.

The lines are too thick. You can't be 'level' anymore

I'd have prefered a loss and no injury to VVD but I'll take it.

I’d think the same looking at them now, but they’re everton.

Horrible potential season ending tackles/injuries and ridiculously bad referee & VAR calls.

Disgrace of a game from Everton & the refs. No other way about it.

Hope Klopp says it out after the game.

Yeh Titan I think they completely fcked up the line. Not realizing a player can't score with his elbow.

I think Shoulder to shoulder he's even with Mina(Think it was him)

Think Godfrey had a brilliant debut

We don't know how bad the injury is yet

Offside is offside. Not the first and won't be the last call like this where a player is getting no advantage from such a minute variance in position between a body part in football imaginary line.

The most outrageous thing remains how rules allow Pickford to not be sent off imo.

What a great game though for a neutral though.

I think you're right there. The line from Mane looks like it's drawn from his elbow and if the point moves to his shoulder then the red line goes over the top of the blue one.

Godfrey did well, especially in the second half.

But I don't see how anyone can say it is off. I mean the line was drawn from Mane elbow. You can't score with your elbow.

The interviewer saying ''We can't work it out either''

Fcking hell talk about looking for a reaction. You could see Klopp just trying to hold it in.

In the same way you can’t keep someone onside as a defender because of your elbow. Both attacker and defender have to be treated to the same rules.

It is probably the same rule as the offside in the first half.

As ridiculous as this seems, VAR will draw through an arm to reach the 'new' rule on where it is not handball.
