If AWJ is gone who would be likely to be called up and who becomes captain? Half-time pundits reckon he's gone for the tour

    James Ryan probably.

    Farrell nailed on for captain.

Ryan or Gray to be called up I’d say.

Shoulder injuries for AWJ and Tipuric.

Has much as I'd love for Ryan to get on the plane Gray surely has to be the next in line. Whoever is captain has to be a sure fire starter in the tests

I read that as "Just had it confirmed by me". Thought it was a hot take by a fan and a joke :pac:

    Farrell will be captain

There isn’t a tighthead in the same league as Furlong. Unbelievable.

Who would they call up if Jones is out? Adam Beard, maybe?

    Murrays passing is crisp

His speed of getting to the breakdown, his decision making and his general play is fairly stale though

His triceps look ginourmous so he's probably just ripped but whatever it is about the red Jersey on him he looks fat as a fool.

    I completely agree.

    He’s defiantly just fat.

Don’t mind the International winger and full time rugby player thing.

Clearly he’s not getting any exercise.

Only for the last angle I was asking if Beirne touched the ball down there haha.

    Kleyn.

Christ Beirne ran like Usain Bolt there.
    Dude is a rocketa

Nearly a disaster there between Biggar and Williams, but Beirne has really come into this game now

  • Registered Users Posts: 16,829 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

Beirne was at least a metre ahead of that Sinkler pass.

    I think that's rather harsh

Bar one or two errors he's played well IMO

So Farrell/Henshaw as the centre partnership for the opening test.

Sinkler keen as mustard. 2 great hits there.

    Faletau looking a bit laboured?

  • Registered Users Posts: 16,829 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

Been very impressed by Conan. He's carried over his end of season form with Ireland and Leinster to the Lions. I think Faletau is the favourite to start at 8 against South Africa, but if he underperforms Conan will be straight in.

McNamara is brutal. Hate that put-on radio-jock style.

That’s been his schtick all his career though.
He’s poor at rugby though a few seconds behind the play, it’s like he’s thinking it’s football and has a few seconds to say the players name after they have the ball.

Also shouting for his stats because he didn’t have them to hand.

Was thinking the same. Seems knackered. Slipped off Himeno there as well, feel like he's missed a good few tackles.

Faletau has been poor. Lawes not great either.

I probably am being harsh on him, this is his third tour and 6th cap (I think) I almost expect him to be flawless

Why are Japan taking the points? That’s twice now. They’re 21 points down?

Best of the backrow today by a distance.
Henshaw and Furlong both had big games too.

Both beyond it long before today, IMO.
