    Conan off injured

    Ah ffs, hope Conan's ok.

That Japanese out half Tamura looks straight up Polynesian.
I once read that the samurai class/chaste in Japan were actually closely related to the Polynesians and I would believe it.
Some Japanese don't look East Asian at all.
I think the samurai were about 10% of the Japanese population

Every Japanese ball carrier took out a defender after carrying there. Not even subtle.

Heaslip guffawing after a clear forward offload, just the one foot forward.

    Sinkler slightly offside there

Japan are really coming into the game now, the Lions look out on their feet, it's Japan's first game since the world Cup I think

  • Registered Users Posts: 17,300 ✭✭✭✭razorblunt

Why are Japan taking the points? That’s twice now. They’re 21 points down?

Maybe trying to win the second half and carry into next week with a bit of confidence?

    Windmill Watson.

    Great rush by henshaw there.

Almost feel bad that overthrow didn't work out for Japan, the timing was exquisite.

  • Registered Users Posts: 17,300 ✭✭✭✭razorblunt

    Another stupid penalty from Lawes.

    8 on 7 scrum

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,541 ✭✭✭lawrencesummers

I’m fairness to Japan they are coming into it the longer the game goes on.

They will give Ireland some serious headaches without our front liners and lots of new combos.

Sinkler has been phenomenal defensively since coming on.

On this performance you'd have Japan as favourites against us next week

Biggar was grand, but nowhere near the best player in the pitch imo.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,940 ✭✭✭realhorrorshow

    Matsushima is something else.

    Some wheels on him.

Conan has ice on his hamstring on the sideline

Same. Thought he led from the front throughout.

You didn't miss much, typical pre season fare, personally I don't agree with these matches being full Lions caps but so be it

Much better test than I thought it was going to be tbh. Japan really tested them defensively a few times.

Shocker from Watson at the end there!

Commentator said it was voted by fans... weird that

Tried to be too fancy making it a no-look pass... If that goes to hand, VDM not likely to be caught.

Yeah, feel that was bit of a cashgrab, generate some revenue, but it's a daft way of deciding it tbh.
