I think we have a good shot at seeing Snow especially for the west,nw and northern Midlands at the end of this week, both gfs and ecm charts are showing a similar unstable northerly airflow colder than this last week has been

Lovely weather for walking in the west

My Davis station and the aspirated fan is definitely doing well in the sun. Temp is 0.6c but I am certain with my old station or any other one it would be reading 3/4c by now.

They should be all brown bread at this stage. Wasps don't re use old nests.

Drogheda is a winter wonderland of pure white frost however the sun is melting it as slowly. only sheltered areas will probably keep frost for the day.

It felt colder than -4 this morning in Tullamore. Hardest frost I've seen in a few years. Must have got down to between -5 and -6 by what I'm seeing.
Gots tá get me a weather station.

Tried to light a fire under my car. Was successful in that regard. Will update post later as rude to be on the phone when fire brigade arrive on scene.

Friends of mine living in Munich in Southern Germany close to the Alps.

A city which used to be well accustomed to snowfall.

Anyway, temperatures are very similar to here at the moment. His young son who is ten asked his Dad this morning.

'Do you think we will get ANY snow this year'???

    Can you imagine???

How things have changed he said. It snows very little there now in comparison to even 15 years ago.

My station got down to -6.1 earlier this morning (just outside Tullamore), with a severe frost.
